Regardless of whether they knew about tips and vans, why weren't they using moving day for, well, moving (ie taking stuff from one house to another) rather than clearing (ie taking stuff to the tip)?
Yeah.... they should have done that ... don't know where their new place is, maybe it's a flat without space/garden.

    Are they fully out yet???
Dunno... I'm 2 miles up the road on my sofa :) I'll go "take possession" in 20 minutes' time, this time whether they're there or not.

There are loads of crises like that in this series, which I found very informative when I was gearing up to go house hunting for the first time.
What does annoy me is how people make THEIR problem YOUR problem..... which is what they've done to me.

If NPT 11 was the thread where the NPT planned or moved house, will NPT 12 be the one where they all gain badges? Would Pastures qualify for a mortgage free one pretty much straight away too?

Why leave rubbish for moving day? Surely most people know you cannot take rubbish to tips in commercial vehicles? Even in a landy you get questions sometimes.
God knows. I was sorting rubbish before packing. Rubbish was being sorted 7 weeks before moving day.

On the badges, with the mortgage free you have to sign up to something on the mortgage board I think. I did look, & very quickly couldn't be 4rsed/lost interest.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

All you have to do it post one post on the mortgage free roll of honour thread saying a bit about how you got to be mortgage free. Then I think you wait weeks or months for the badger to notice and give you a badge.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I had a thread that became a money dilemma in the weekly email. Unfortunately it was before they introduced badges so I don't qualify. :(

Oh that's a shame. Perhaps they would give you one if somebody made a special plea on your behalf?
