Sky is a nice beachy colour Pastures, it would go well. Your visitor is right... they won't want to avoid a sale for the sake of a couple of quid. Plus it isn't as though DFS sales are irregular occurrences. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I'm after a 3-seater, not 2, so I can stretch... but midgets don't need much space for a good stretch
I would suggest you do try out whether you can stretch out fully without your feet or legs having to go up/over an arm rest.
I didn't have a sofa in my rented house (12 years) and took a couple of years to get one once I'd bought here, and the main criteria was ability to stretch out on it. I'm about 5'2" tall, but the sofas which fitted into my room weren't quite long enough for this to happen. However, the arms don't come to the front of the sofa, so I can just about get my feet (crossed) onto the cushion at the front of the sofa.
Edit: just looked at the piccies of the suggested dfs sofa and the seat cushions / armrests are the same - space at the front for feet if need be.0 -
I keep looking on Ebay for two sofas to replace my ones in the front room which are looking very sorry for themselves.
So far, no luck as it isn't the biggest of rooms and I don't have oodles of pennies, so I tend to find the perfect sofas but far too expensive or the right money but too big/too small/too far away sofas. We made it! So music.....
Never understood why some people can't appreciate good music.
Not in the sense of being what a person thinks they like or are familiar with, but purely on the basis of an artist being exceptionally good at what they do.
Or is that.... odd.
What do the NP think?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

DH got a lovely compliment from a guy only American familiar jazz loving np might have possibly heard of last week, a guy called Julien pressley. He said that dh's music was inspiring to him. ( and that he blew his a55 off) .
The guy is less well heard of in uk, even in jazz circles though.0 -
Sometimes it's not easy to tell if a performer is very good, or just very pretentious, if you're not familiar with the music style.
For example, in my view singers should be able to sing a note clearly. Others have the opinion that a warbler (whether pop or operatic) is a better singer.
Often, though, I agree that even if you dislike the music style you can still appreciate a musician's talent.0 -
So many people assume that Josh will only like heavy metal like music and would not be able to appreciate any other genre or their artists. This could not be further from the truth, he loves classical music, has a horrible attraction to naff 80's songs, adores 50's and 60's music (and can name the tracks and bands/singers quicker than me) and does some mean techno/trance music compositions (alongside classical, disco, funk and gothic/symphonic rock)
If someone is exceptionally good at what they do, whatever genre, he will appreciate it.We made it! Yes I agree.
Have heard a few people lately say they don't like any of X or Y types of music in conversation.
Just found it a bit odd.If someone is exceptionally good at what they do, whatever genre, he will appreciate it.
Exactly.
My music playlist tonight has had Public Enemy, London Grammar, Dread Zeppelin, Sia, Lyle Lovett, Tove Lo, Cracker, Nina Simone, Sugar and many more on it.
I couldn't really imagine being constrained to one genre of music....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I agree about the music thing; I wouldn't want to constrain myself at all.
There's a lot of stuff I can appreciate that the person is talented and whatever, but it's not something I'd listen to particularly though I suppose.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
