OK, that's Y13 marked. They're by far my smallest class though.
Just checked through my set lists for all the classes I teach. Far too many of them have the same name, all spelt differently. For example, I teach 5 girls (in 4 different year groups) called variations on a theme of Isobel, some of whom like their whole name and some like to abbreviate. They are Isobel, Isabelle, Izy, Izzy and Issy. How am I supposed to remember which is which????Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Probably why our teachers never used our first names! I was always
[Surname] until I got into the sixth form when I was [Mr Surname] unless I was in trouble when I was [surname] again.
You could give them numbers, or perhaps stick barcodes on them and scan them.0 -
So DD1 came first in the girls B race, dd2 came 3rd in the A race and their house won the house cup for the first time in 11 years which dd1 will receive. Then watched DS doing football practice (I think rugby may be more his game) and the end of the girls singing class. It would be nice to be a SAHD. Tomorrow we do it all over again with work in the morning followed by DS sports day, cross country for DD1, ballet for DD2, guides for DD1 and a dentist appointment fitted in for me somehow.
Car was fixed today but is producing loads of white smoke from under the bonnet which is not a good sign, we are half hoping it catches fire....I think....0 -

This is partly why if I were NDG I wouldn't worry to much about 'Kermie' sticking for a while.0 -

The possibilities are infinite...
Let's see....
RP might be transgender or be intersex
It might be something another member of the rates household has asked me not to identify
It might just be a foible
No,no, it does not have to be fathomed. Indeed, I had refrained from mentioning it at all, out of respect for your wishes. And then, suddenly, PN said it, and nobody asked her to take her comment down, so I thought that maybe it wasn't important after all, and I had got hold of the wrong end of the stick.
It's probably a bit late now, as the cat is out of the bag, but I am quite happy to remove the relevant post.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
No, you hadn't, but I'm not upset or anything.
and I am quite happy for both pronouns to be used, both in one post if you like.

Have now done detailed worked solutions to the Y12 questions ready to photocopy and give out next lesson - saves a lot of time going over it in class and/or writing corrections onto students' work. Going out now to a church thing so the actual marking of Y12 and the next tranche of other year group marking will have to wait until later. The Y13 that I did earlier was the most urgent marking, so I'm out of "marking crisis" mode and into merely "lots of work to do" mode now.
Am only managing to keep my nose to the grindstone by frequently refreshing the NPT between one question and the next to make it less tedious. Thanks people.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
