I have a dilemma (of my usual standard of importance).
On the way to and from work I pass a supermarket. Sometimes I pop into the supermarket on the way home.
I am most definitely a tightwad. I definitely try and eat only yellow stickered food. I don't impose this on anyone else (why would I want to increase the competition?), and fully accept that not everyone else is into this idea.
Due to the usual timing of my visit, I often end up bumping into the reduction man. I don't grab stuff, I don't stop anyone else from looking, and I don't shove stuff under his nose to ask for it to be reduced further. Usually I go away and wait for him to finish then return. I don't feel I breach 'yellow sticker ettiquette' (I've certainly seen much worse).
I don't think it's me being paranoid, but if he see's me I think he points me out to his 'mate' colleagues with a bit of a laugh (and not in a good way!). I certainly don't go in there every day. And some weeks I don't go in there at all. It happened this evening, (I didn't even pick up anything with a yellow sticker this evening - but I happened to be in the same aisle deciding whether I wanted some garlic bread - answer: no, I don't need the extra carbs/ calories).
As I was walking out, it occurred to me that I should say something. Nothing too confrontational, just if it happens again ask something like 'Is there a problem?'. I think I would prefer this to raising a complaint without trying to address it first.
I am almost certain I'm not misreading the situation. He is pointing and laughing. Part of me doesn't care (I have as much right to be there as anyone else, it's not like I spend a lot of time in there), I've been doing my own yellow sticker shopping for over 10 years, and much longer with my parents. But equally I don't think it's right. It's almost enough to put me off shopping there (if it wasn't so convenient on the way home). Quite frankly I'd rather go to Waitrose (and I've not noticed anyone laughing at me there!).
What do you think I should do?
Alternatively he is turning to his mate saying 'that is the hot one I was telling you about - I know she is single cos she always buys single portions'?I think....0 -

I am trying to decide whether to watch the thing that's set relatively locally that DH says looks like ' junk on a hill on a white horse' or to sleep slightly early.
Sleep sounds tempting ( I had a no nap day, I feel like I deserve a gold star) .
Usually through the week I fill the bed with stuff. I'm going to try not to do that this week. Its a really annoying habit.0 -

Things is .... if you get rid of the ones you've got ... what's to stop new ones thinking "Hey - I know a great place we can all potter off to....."?
Don't resite the shed. Its likely to damage shed IMO. Gravel around shed should do it it you want to do that, and you could do that.
Clearing out? Bring or send pictures.0 -
They'd probably start putting the prices up.
Hmm, not likely, but he might make you work harder for each reduction each week, Waitrose sounds better and better.
But tbh, I would also let cs know you feel uncomfortable. Its not right that you should feel uncomfortable. And its not as if you are particularly touchy.0
