That's about it. If you want to eat proper Chicken Piri Piri, Guia (just oustide of Albufeira) is the place to eat it. It's a fairly nondescript place, but this is where the dish was invented.

Bit of a trek, particularly if you live in Australia.

I think the M52 bus might go there. Not sure.

Chicken breast in pitta with salad and a pineapple ring. Like a brilliant kebab.

The chilli sauce makes me buzz. It releases some kind of chemical reaction in the body that makes me feel great. I think some people get it and some don't, because I can't fathom why some grown ups I know, like me, are so passionate about it. I pour just the sauce on a plate at home and dip my fingers in it.

Is that a Nandos item, or what you make at home with a bottle of Nandos sauce? Sounds like the sort of thing I'd eat - if I ever threaten to drop in on you then I'd rather you fed me that than some poncey Dinner Party stuff :)

Of course, pineapple rings come in a tin of four .... so that's four that would need to be made/eaten up :)

Years ago my favourite burger at the local burger place (1/4lb of raw meat cooked on the flame) was to have it topped with a pineapple ring, a green-pepper ring and with sweet/sour sauce poured over it. They had the S/S sauce sitting in a saucepan on the side of the grill all the time.

I'd have that on a polystyrene tray, with a shovel of chips and a large spoon of sweetcorn relish..... often at 2.30am.

I have so much to do, I'm not sure where to start. Failing at anything right now! Don't want to write a list; it will overwhelm me.

Nandos do it, but I do it at home as well. You can buy the sauce in the supermarkets.

I'd happily do a big pile of unboned chicken, salad, pineapple and pitta bread for you. That's dinner tonight organised as well :D

They have been this low for a while. No incentive to save. But my mortgage rate is low - base +0.75%, so no incentive to reduce that either. With house prices rising (this area has risen 20% year on year - madmess), increasing value must be the way to go.
Mine is 2.3% variable. I'd like to get it paid off asap if I can. Then I don't have to worry, & can go back to squirrelling.;)
Yeah, hard to pick something on there that you'd like/choose .... and you end up going for "the least offensive" item which is probably a pricey burger and chips :)

    Then there's a drink ....
Think I'd rather go to KFC to be honest..

Write half a list. However, put a few "quick wins" on there (things you can do quickly & easily) so you can cross them off quickly.

In my experience, things go fine once you start. It is the starting/procrastinating that is the problem!

All this chicken talk, I'm peckish (not sure if pun is intended or not...)

On that theme, who's idea was it that chicken & chips in a basket tastes & is better/ & why is it so?

I'm a big fan of chilli. I make a jolly nice pasta dish with crab, chilli, olive oil, parsley, veggies and lemon.

I once made my old boss cry from chilli when I made us all pasta arrabiata. That was really funny as he used to go on about how he and his mates had been out for a 'monster curry' on Saturday night. The rest of us thought it was fine.

We have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants over here and they tend to put chopped, raw, bird-eye chillies over your food. You can get a really good Vietnamese meal very cheaply in Aus. You can spend perhaps 50% more than you would on Nandos and get rice rolls, a really good salad and a couple of meat & veg dishes with rice for a bunch of you. For Nandos money you can get a huge plate of veggies, noodles and egg with a piece of meat on it which has been well cooked and is nice and spicy.

What is the easiest way to achieve a "showroom finish" on a glass shower enclosure in a seriously hard water area? I've been doing bicarb and baking soda - these work fine "for me", but for my checkout I want to achieve a superclean showroom finish..... do I just do more of the same, or is there a magic spray?

So much to do.... I didn't know there'd be so many viewings/so soon ... I thought I'd poodle back and forth for nearly two weeks perfecting the finish over time, one job at a time. Now I've a mind to get 99% of it cracked this week.

It's just 2 miles and I have to check the post anyway ... so popping back each day to do a bit wasn't ever an issue..... I thought.

You know your favourite bleach for the loo? The turquoise domestos for limescale? I use that - it works as well. A thin layer of it on a sponge, leave it for a while, then wipe/rub it off.

I wish you'd do the hard work for me ...... right.

    AU site http://www.nandos.com.au/menu
    UK site http://www.nandos.co.uk/restaurantmenu/mains

    1/4 chicken without chips AU: AUS$6.45 = £3.52
    Chips Regular AU: £2.15
Chicken and chips AU = £5.67

UK Quarter Chicken Breast: £4.25 (£7.20 with 2 sides)
    UK Regular Chips: £2.25
Chicken and Chips UK = £6.50

When compared to each country's NMW the AU one is doubley cheaper.

Without having seen a Nandos chicken/portion - and having a fear of fat, bone, skin, gristle, I'd have gone for a burger....which are more expensive.

I picked up a YS peri peri chicken at the CoOp the other day for £2.15. My first ever peri peri. I was horrified to discover the chicken was a 1/4 with skin/bone .... a seriously EWWWW moment as I picked it off ..... the package just called it a chicken breast and you couldn't see inside the package to realise it had bone/skin on it. Couldn't really taste much, it wasn't noticeably hot/exciting/tasty.

Your minimum wage would be about $23/hr most likely.
