Thanks.
Just about to go off to the station with my sil for what I hope will be the last day of the inquest. The last few of the witnesses are today, so it's just a question of whether the coroner can finish his stuff by the end of the day. So it seems my barrister was spot on when he said the coroner had booked the court for 3 weeks just in case but was going to get everything done in a week and a half. He is (obviously) very efficient, but also very nice - welcoming, encouraging and understanding.
It's DD's birthday on Monday. She'll be so pleased that I don't have to be away for it.
Glad that it is coming to the end for you. Yes, this.
But it IS good the coroner is all those super things. I am relieved on that front for you, but that doesn't take away the impact of the subject and stress.0 -
I was thinking about starting a Halifax for the £100 but wonder if it's worth it. How complicated do I want my life?
that's my thought, I just CBA - and then I read what jelly does and I feel bank account envy:plemonjelly wrote: »Work is going to be a killer for 3-4 weeks. 12 hour days are here!
If I'm not about, that's the reason (exhaustion).
Everything jelly halts in september, pretty much up to my birthday (40 this year!).
12 hour days ( that's called part-time in haulage);) Best wishes to Jelly Senior.
I love that bath lir, would never fit in my small three bed semi though:rotfl:. My pet hate in bathrooms is a complicated shower bath system, which requires certain levers and taps to be turned in sequence to get water.0 -
Youngest didn't get on the course he wanted at college, they want him to do a maths re sit (expected) plus also do a level 2 course (worth 3 GCSEs) to bring his total amount of A-C GCSEs up.
I had already warned youngest this was a possibility so he was prepared for it and he is looking at it positively, the course suggested will be an added bonus for his ICT level 3 when he finally does do it and will improve his skills in that area.
That said, he was like a bear with a sore head last night, very out of kilter and stroppy but again, I expected that...it's a new place, with new people, with a completely different routine and they threw him a curve ball by having him sit a maths assessment which he was completely unprepared for.
He's looking forward to it though! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Best of luck LydiaJ. Try to treat yourself if you can.0

Good luck to youngest in new place Sue. Hopefully he will adjust well and find the supportive and understanding learning environment that he should have had the past couple of years.
Have you managed to speak to the person with responsibility for dealing with students about his issues and got the reassurance that things will be better there? I am hoping that it will be a new beginning for him and he won't be messed around like he was before. Sorry... another question, is it all on one campus for the new place? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I laughed but felt bad about it.
