Wow, that's some bath! Sadly even if I could afford it and had the space, I think it might fall through our bathroom floor into the kitchen below!:rotfl:
Been a bit tired out by the strong Easterly wind today. So glad OH got Ruddy Duck off the moorings on Sunday. Boats on the moorings being tossed around today - not sheltered in an Easterly. The wind we always dread when Duck is on the water. Back in 1977 there was a dreadful gale here in August, I was here with OH's parents and one of his teenage cousins... Back then Duck was on mooring at the Bwlchtocyn end of beach, she broke her mooring and was washed up onto the beach between groynes. OH's parents went out and sat in boat as she re-floated as tide rose again, cousin was saying to me "Is Uncle R going to go down with his boat?" The pounding on the beach that day was one of the causes of all the leaks we had to put up with for years after. Duck is now re-built, and seems to be water-tight. Otherwise there's no way we could leave her on the moorings off the SCYC club house at the other end of the beach.
But I sure hope the Easterly wind veers tomorrow!0 -

That bath is amazing lir, and totally unlike anything I would choose for my own home. I like modernism a lot and would say if money was no object that would be the route I would go down.
As for baths, I have been looking for a new one, but mine looks more like this:

The problem I have with baths is getting out safely. My current one has a shower screen for almost half the bath and at the other end there's a couple of rows of tiled top.... so there's nothing to hold onto when you're getting out of the bath.
The only safe way to get out, without slipping, is to sit on the end tiles, then swing your legs over the bath edge.
I'd never be able to get out of a lot of posh/free-standing baths I've seen in photos.... not sure why they're popular anyway as there's nowhere to put your shampoo or soap or anything.0 -
Thanks for the current account suggestions folks. I've got a FD account with the mortgage like chewey. Can';t fault them but there's no bells and whistles with it. In my own account (become Santander 1-2-3) the travel insurance is being dropped. I go overdrawn most months and that's expensive with them. Plus my Abbey Zero card's become a Santander card as well.
My dormant Flexaccount has travel insurance. I was thinking about starting a Halifax for the £100 but wonder if it's worth it. How complicated do I want my life? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I don't think anyone is actually meant to use the posh baths, they are just there to make a design statement.
Other pet hate is a basin with nowhere to put the soap.0 -

Sadly it's all work related, so I can't really say. None of it is very interesting really. Just find little old me in some surreal situations sometimes. I have to remind myself I have the potential to cause quite a significant amount of 'impact', even if it all feels like advanced making it up :eek:0 -
My pet hate is a basin without a flat top, so stuff you stand on it rolls off onto the floor. Electric toothbrushes are the worst as they just don't fit any standard toothbrush holder. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Apropos of nothing, which is the best current account anyone here uses? My Santander account used to have free travel insurance, and cheap overdraft fees (when it used to be A&L). Has anyone opened a Halifax account and what are they like? I've got a dormant Flexaccount I may want to revive (has free travel insurance), or is the Metro bank or Coop any use? Occasionally overdraw and don' t expect much interest.
I have 3 tsb & 3 bos current accounts, all paying 3% on up to 5k.
I used to have 3 lloyds accounts, but they've withdrawn them, so I have 1 paying 4% with a regular saver also paying 4%.
I refuse to pay £2 per month to santander, & their customer service is fraught with mistakes. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

My house has no electrical gadget fitments in the bathroom .... so that's not a problem0
