If Sue is around... thought this might appeal to your youngest, if it's not teaching him to suck eggs that is...

I think my jam over set. I love under set jam. :( still, I hardly eat any of it, and other people like jam that doesn't wriggle off toast.

Does have own mug and gets v. Grumpy if does not have available for first drink of the day. But is the wrong size/ shape / colour or various other things. RP just refuses to reuse mugs. Has a thing about reuse.

Does RP put used mugs in DW or leave them lying about for you to collect up later?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Mainly puts them on top of dish washer BUT, likes stacking dishwasher and re stacks it when for and I do it saying we have done it incorrectly. Likes it to run half empty. Is not good at putting stuff away however and puts it near where its meant to go away. Or poorly stacked. There have been a few breakages this way.

It's not the worst thing in the world. At least RP likes doing the dish washer :D

We have a really demanding dishwasher. It is always demanding salt or rinse aid. I think its an attention seeker :D

Lir: boss, would you prep four of these oranges for me?
Fir: where do you want these oranges
Lir: in the pan, the prepped ones, the others in the fridge but I'll need two for juice later.....

    Fir: others?

So, let's hope we really, really like this jam!

That's odd then ... as I "spotted" I had missed it as I found half a page with the thanks on all posts still not thanked by me .....

I can't remember your answer... and I don't want to put you to the trouble of typing something out if I go "Oh yeah, I remember it now".

Maybe in a few weeks, when you're back ... you can post 6 words as a reminder, see if it rings bells.

This dementia lark could be kicking in and I'd not noticed....

If you change a post, you lose all the Thanks. So after I deleted the thanks you gave it would be removed and it would appear on your not thanked list. Key words: slow, late, panic, borrow, mortgage, return, sorted.

Unless you have a super duper electronically controlled one, they use salt and rinse aid according to how hard you told them the water was. Tell it the water is less hard and it will use less salt.

With me, you'd have to do a short seminar on how to prep the oranges. This would probably involve demonstrating on four of them how to do it....
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I find a microwave is perfect for "beans for one" and small portions. It's easy to find a small/plastic pot that's the right size .... it's faster .... the plastic pot's easier to clean than a saucepan. It's hard to find a variety of small saucepans that'd be the right size for a single portion of a lot of things - and it's a faff to wait for the hob to heat up, just for what is 4 spoons of beans :)

It's also good for a fast one egg omelette, or single portion of rice, or 2 spoons of peas... with frozen peas I pour out 1/3rd of a mug and fill the mug with boiling water, stir, stand, then repeat. I'll then drain those and nuke them for 10 seconds in the mug.

It's also good for cold mash. I make enough mash for two meals, the 2nd portion's boxed up and put into the fridge. How do non-microwave people re-heat cold mash? ... or do you use (another) saucepan, that then needs washing up.

The way I deal with left over mash is to eat whatever was put on my plate then go into the kitchen and eat whatever was left over in the saucepan. No need to reheat, so saves money!
