Getting two suitcases and hand luggage (and two people) in it for a trip to the airport (or a drive to a holiday destination), for instance, is like untying the gordion knot. And when OH's relatives arrive at heathrow she wants to be able to go and pick them up which is currently impossible unless they post their luggage separately.
Sounds cheaper to keep the Mini, and hire a bigger car on the rare occasions you need one.
We've had a 3-door small Fiat throughout Isaac's life, and we're (just about) going to be able to get all our stuff for a week plus the 4 of us to Cornwall tomorrow in it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Don't forget the date.... bank holiday Friday/weekend.... make sure you have accessible/to hand, double anything you expected in case of being stuck in car jams for hours.
I hope the journey's straight forward for you though.0 -

Is youngest OK? Was he pleased about his GCSEs?
A bit of a mixture of emotions for him really, he was over the moon at the completely unexpected B in business studies...his teacher had told him he would be lucky the scrape a pass and that it would more likely be a fail and also going up several grades from the predicted in his English but then he is absolutely gutted about his maths result.
These next couple of weeks are going to be hard for him as there is going to be a lot of change going on, so I am expecting a backlash at some point. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Yes we've remembered it. I've packed lots of nappies / wipes / snacks / filled up water bottles.
One big advantage of breastfeeding - we aren't going to run out of food for the baby!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

How much insight does he have into how his reactions are likely to be? Does he know that he finds change difficult, for example?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
He grossly underestimates it, becomes blase about it and says he is ok and then he crashes, refuses to go out, can't sleep and starts bashing walls. We made it! I'm a bit fussy(!) with food. I can't help but feel that some things really shouldn't go together. One such example is mashed potatoes & baked beans.
Am I alone in my odd-ness?
I don't eat beans much but I would be happy to mix them up with mash.
My favourite mash and other food combo is Christmas dinner: mix mash, bread sauce, breadcrumbs, little bits of bacon and maybe a sausage, pour gravy over the lot and consume.
Sorry if that is making anyone feel queasy...0 -
You are in luck.
I may have the supermodel bottom of your dreams.
I will have to start being rude to airport staff. And doing drugs.
That did make me laugh. Can't link at the moment due to tablet trouble, but the cabin crew thread on PPRUNE on which celebrities are lovely to fly and which are horrid is well worth a read. Cilla Black does not come out of it well.
ETA: on laptop now. It's this one. Fc, it's a fun alternative to CBB...

Pop [ladydog] email does a similar thing. My favourites are the idiots that won't talk to cabin crew because it's beneath them and so talk to their PA who talks to the stewardess.0

For all you history lovers on hukd they said access to ancestry dot com would be free this weekend, don't know if that helps anyone.
I decided to take an extra day and drive today as couldn't face the traffic tomorrow and just feel to knackered to do the drive on a Friday evening any more, getting old.
Not heard from Gen re the other matter but will of course let people know when I do.I think....0
