Did I hear the weatherman say that there was a chance of frost in the countryside this week? Can I just check please... it is still August, right?

It was very autumnal here this evening. I put the heating on for a couple of hours:o

Usually we holiday in September..we go away in summer..and when we come back it is Autumn. There is usually a marked drop in temperature, the nights start to draw in and we start preparing for winter , signaled by a delivery of logs and us putting the garden furniture away.

Interesting times are all.very well.for the adrenalin junkies but I'd rather not. This morning DD2 fainted in the shower, she has never done anything like it before. Luckily DW was there and grabbed her when she dropped the handset so she didn't fall and hit her head.

Oh no! Poor DD2. Hope it turns out to be a one-off. Good thing your DW was there to catch her. )

In the same way that you are buying a new sofa so want it to be right, don't skimp on curtain width. Buying the proper size will look so much better.

Indeed. I regret saving money by buying curtains that aren't very generous width-wise.
    I am up, all day.

RP is complaining about me boiling chicken carcasses.

Feeling like going back to bed, or bed on sofa, despite feeling ok.

    Hugs. :grouphug:

Don't let RP get to you - enjoy being up. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

First day of inquest went OK. My sil came with me and did a brilliant job of supporting me. V impressed with the coroner - agree with my barrister's description of him as not only competent but also caring, approachable, efficient and able to get through what has to be done without allowing any time to anything irrelevant. Travel on the train worked out fine too.

DD missing me - she's rung up each of the two evenings so far and wanted me to read a story down the phone to her - but generally coping all right and says she's beginning to get used to having my dad in charge instead of me. Haven't heard from my dad or DS so assume they're OK.

Horrible, stressful day which has left me feeling rather low. I've compounded the issue by also overdoing things (stress does that to me) by painting my toilet (the room not the actual toilet), part of the hallway ceiling, sorting out stuff in the kitchen, running around like a headless chicken and doing the food shop.

So now I am stressed, depressed and in pain.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh Sue. It sounds miserable. Sending hugs: :grouphug:

Remember, if you need to rant about what stressed you in the first place, the NP are always here to listen. Or not if you'd rather not. :)

Pleased to hear it went will Lydia. Sounds as though you will be handled sensitively and that the case is in the best hands.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
