OH faints infrequently when getting out of bed too fast. Glad she is OK.
I was very close to it this morning, went from full asleep to in bathroom grappling unconscious DD out of bath i about 5 seconds then when DD was OK I realised I was about to faint and just made it back to bed before my vision went completelyFrom 16 to late 40's I could not face breakfast. I could eat later in the morning but not first thing.
It is strange how it changes - until about 35 I was breakfast every day (or be it only cereal and juice) but nowadays I also can't face food in the morning.*ungrateful post of the day*
An elderly neighbour has brought round a carrier bag full of ripe Victoria plums.I love fresh of the tree Victoria plums, they are never as nice from the supermarket.

What on earth am I going to do with them? I am at work for the next two days and did not plan of a jam/chutney making day on Thurs.
Shove them into dishes and knock up crumbles.0 -
I've bought a rowing machine...
£65 on ebay so I don't think I'll go too far wrong, if I end up selling it again I won't lose out too much
Picked it up earlier and it's taking up more space than I'd anticipated. Still I think it's a good purchase!
We have a nordic trac ski exerciser i the shed - I think I have owned it for nearly 20 years...of which it has been assembled for about 6 monthsI think....0 -
Talking of freezers, I saw something new/unexpected/bizarre today .... I wandered through a kitchens department in Homebase and they had some big/shiny pan drawers .... and the sign said "Open me".... so I did - and it was a fridge/freezer!0

Fabulous photo. That's definitely one to treasure! Then you have Josh, who actually does more activity than James and eats a lot less (he eats about 10% of what James eats in a day), yet he has weight issues.
I feel for you with that one. I have one who needs to put on weight and one who would benefit from stopping putting on weight and letting the height catch up a bit, and it's not easy for the parent!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Michaels, not sure I've read this right, but did both DD and you nearly faint today? If so can I please suggest you check your carbon monoxide monitor and do it tonight. If you can't, please ensure that you all sleep in rooms with windows open and check first practicable time tomorrow. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks for concern but CO monitor is right here in the bedroom and tests fine, also we have windows open a bit all the time. I am sure my problem was going from sleeping to standing with nothing in between.I think....0 -
It very probably is. Just want you all to be safe. Can you please indulge me and check it in the bathroom? I know it isn't my house so you can tell me to get lost if you want to.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I did hear on the TV or radio this morning that there would be frost in Scotland. So who knows, this time next year we may be saying "we don't get frost in this country in August";).Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
