Probably ruined a white linen top..blackberry sauce seeped through my pinnie and there is now a purple stain on both. Both are soaked in neat soda crystal fluid but I am not hopeful as it looks pretty fast..... we were fine about and expect them to be the same as we age and pee on their furniture when we visit.
I'll get a dustbin liner bag ready next time you come round here0 -

Hello Maggie, I didn't realise you lived so close to me! I am on the other side of the peninsular near Nefyn.
Tx
As others have said, I don't actually live here, but we spend as much time as we can here over the summer. Liverpool is my home, though am from Harrow by birth. Should you fancy a NP meet up you'd be very welcome to visit the caravan. We're very lucky to be in a fairly quiet camp site (well, maybe not so quiet in August when all the kids are playing out in the field!), a decent sized field with caravans just ranged around the edge. Some sites round here are much more packed.
We're the far end of Abersoch, in Bwlchtocyn, which I'm sure many round here would give a Posh Alert to, but I don't see a caravan requires one!In a couple of weeks time it will be incredibly quiet round here, as nearly every one goes home for the start of the school year. The cottages and houses will all be empty for most of the time until the spring, other than half term time. No wonder the economy round here struggles - most of the year most of the properties are empty. At least we spread our visits around the year, not just high summer. We came one year for New Year, but not sure we'll repeat that - it was %&%&% cold!
I think Maggie is just camping there, during a regatta. Posh alert?!
Well, OH and co didn't do the regatta in the end (only 2 boats turned out so they just did an unofficial race so they had a sail), but they did manage some of the racing earlier in the week.PasturesNew wrote: »Posher than that ... she's at her 2nd/holiday home, with their own boat.
LOL "2nd/holiday home" is a caravan! Sounds a bit less posh when you know that! :rotfl: We do have central heating, but it leaks. <roll eyes smilie> Leak in big bedroom, so bowl under radiator to catch drips and needs the water in system topping up every so often when the hot water system suddenly stops working. Van is second hand, and we think was fairly hard used before we got it. But we're lucky to have it, and it's great for the GrandKids as they love the ramp onto the deck. We went for the ramp as when we got this caravan my walking was getting so bad I worried wouldn't be able to manage the steps up for much longer. So far I haven't *needed* to use the ramp, but the littlies do love running up and down it.And my walking is getting worse again, so may yet be glad of it myself.
Ruddy Duck (boat) is beautiful, but in some ways a bit of a white elephant.Wooden boats need an awful lot of maintenance! In the end I think they only managed 3 races, as she got stuck in the harbour for a few days.
But managed a couple of pleasure sails with the DDs after the racing was over. She's still on the moorings, but OH hopes to get her out and back up to the field below caravan field next weekend. If the wind calms OH might get another sail before she comes out. Looking at the forecast I doubt it will get calm enough for me to get out this year.
Maybe next year!

I must admit a few years ago our car was hit when parked by an aupair who left her details, we got 2 quotes and they agreed to pay a cheque for the lower without worrying if the work was done and I got a new headlight from a scrappy and left the dent - it was a 10 year old car so total cost was about 50 quid rather than the 250 we had a cheque for. I don't think we did a lot in writing either way but then I guess it wasn't very expensive and perhaps I look fairly reputable...I think....0

Can't say I've ever bothered with much in the way of complicated documentation for minor car dings.
Usually just a receipt stating claim is settled in full and both parties agree no further liability exists or suchlike.
And as michaels says, if it's an old car, most people won't bother fixing it anyway.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Lemon I hope you saw this story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-28776646

Many thanks! Not sure what kind of apple tree I have either. But apparently it's a descendent of one of the trees from the orchard that stood here before the houses. I like that
There is a big apple tree next door. I wonder if mine is related? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Saw that, was impressed with the kid, but the whole programme format is getting stale.
Not relevant to me BTW.
I think a lot of people just go on there to get some free publicity knowing that they will never get an offer - whenever they say something like "I'm looking for £100,000 for 6% of my business" it seems likely that they just want to get it on telly. Sometimes they don't really seem to have a plan for the money - presumably because they don't want it.
There was someone on last week who is a friend of a friend whom I met in a pub about 5 or 6 years ago. I think he fell into this category - seems to be very pleased with how much business it has drummed up going by social media blitherings anyway.0
