My gas units used in a year where I was living were 134.... no idea how much that translates into money. That was heating/sink water only.

Programme on BBC4 right now - King Alfred.... they've just gone to an NP's home ground. The relevant NP should know it's them - there was a big fight in the field there.

It says convenient for train station. What it doesn't tell you is that you are about 20ft away from the London-Manchester fast line and that you will never be able to open your windows, nor that said trains run all day and for much of the night.

I dunno. Today I heard some tales about Fri night that put me off

I bet I've spent the least on gas + electric over the past 10 months - £108.00 (for both).

That's because npower seem to find it rather difficult to take my money. They took their first direct debit payment 4 months after I moved in, then promptly cancelled the DD (not at my request, despite them stating in a letter that it was). They seem to have managed to reinstate the DD, but it's currently set up for £0.00 a month :wall:

Worry not - they'll work it out eventually and then take £300 a month to take out the arrears, and then refuse to ever change it.

We were on npower when we moved in. I got rid of them as fast as I possibly could! Awful customer service and expensive.

And the furniture is quite something!

A few of the houses look very good, at least from the outside.

And others you just have to wonder about.

Having signage referring to it as it a mansion is just ridiculous. I am sure the stone mason laughed and issued a stupidly large bill.

A more appropriate label would be "crammed on to plot" or perhaps "infill".

Toprak Mansion is quite notorious. I don't think economising is the aim of any of the bishops ave houses. Far from it. I think they try to outspend each other on those plots.

    .

I am occupied over lunch time but will finish about 2.30pm. I will be near Russell Sq if that means anything?

We have a street nearby where you spend a bit over a mil buying a nice 3/4 bed period detached and immediately have it demolished and build a MacMansion on the plot with very little space between you and the neighbours.
    I think....

I will cease to be an npower customer as soon as they have figured out whatever is giving them trouble sorting out my bills and payment. Which reminds me, I keep forgetting to call their complaints department to see what the status of the complaint I raised in April is. I was told I should hear back within 30 days. I've never talked to an ombudsman before but I think that is where I am headed next. I'll be sure to mention that I am waiting for them to get their act together so I can switch.

Or you're looking up the local GUM clinic in the yellow pages.
