Congratulations, Wheezy!
With you and Tom together, the NP are reducing rapidly....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Congrats wheezy. What was your method? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks!
Last year I had pneumonia, and in hospital they ultrasounded my kidneys and liver an such and they saw quite a lot of blub hanging around there - lifestyle they said.
I've been on the chubby side since my late 30's, but now it was getting out of hand.vivatifosi wrote: »Congrats wheezy. What was your method?

- no more fizzy drinks
- much smaller portions, especially at dinner time

- no more crisps
- longer doggy walks

That's a really great, sensible diet. How much more do you want to lose? I am trying to lose weight too, so am always interested to hear how people get on. For the moment, my method is only exercise and it is working slowly. Except today I didn't manage to get my cardio in and I'm now sitting on the sofa eating a packet of Doritos:oPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Well done guys! Gradual changes is the key.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

At the risk of sounding repetitious, I'm still really bloody tired.
I slept in until gone 7am this morning. Then I slept for 40 minutes at lunchtime and I slept on the bus on the way home. Now it's 9:10pm and I'm zonked again. Aaargh!
Sorry to hear that Gen. But it's early days yet from what your oncologist said - wasn't it 2-3 months for the tiredness to get significantly better? Just try to take things as easy as possible, and rest up whenever you can. Believe me, I know how frustrating it is to not be able to do very much.At least you know that eventually the knackeredness will pass. Hugs and Vibes!
In case any NP would be interested..I've lost 1st and 3lbs over the past couple of months....really happy with, still some way to go..
Oh very well done Wheezy! I've stopped the crisps too - well, maybe a packet at Christmas and sometimes one on summer hols. The fizzy drink is harder as G&T is my tipple of choice, and don't drink diet stuff as has aspartame in it. We're doing the more fish and chicken too, pork maybe every couple of months as a treat - I just love the crackling. And oily fish too, for the high cholesterol. Not losing weight though, might do if I was able to walk further than a few steps!
Update on the sailing - just saw them. Duck (OH) in 5th place, and Goshawk (friend who's staying with us) in 3rd, but it looks as if they only just started. Neither are sailing on their own account - it's the Interstation Race, so there's a ballot for boats, OH and friend are both acting as owners representatives and pilots. The Seabirds have homes in 3 places - Abersoch, Wallasey (Mersey) and Trearddur Bay (Anglesey), so each year one of the stations host the races, and this year it's Abersoch.
They're right out in the middle of the bay now, looks like Duck's moved up to 3rd place now. She's easy to spot as she's got red sails as well as red hull. Only other red sailed boat has a white hull. It's a perfect sailing day - sunshine and a decent breeze as opposed to the howling gale we had yesterday morning!0 -

Looks as if they've dropped to 7th now... Wonder if they hit the mark.
