That is an interesting thought, I wonder if Merryfields has been adopted by the LA.
That was the solution I'd have suggested, but I CBA to type it
Demolishing the garage might annoy the neighbour as the access would drive past their house/rooms - and "your house" would have the same problem. Round the other side there's nobody's house/rooms access would need to drive past as such.0 -
During June/early July we have a mass of roses around the door. And a mess of rose petals walked through the hall. We just live with it as it is too much.
On a slightly blowy day it is like someone is throwing confetti.
Our neihbour is OCD..has lived here for 40 years but sweeps leaves incessantly. To take account of their increasing age (mid 60s) they have chopped down lots of trees in recent years and bought a leaf blower. Mad.
We think McCarthy & Stone beckon.
When I dead head I check dead heads on the paths. Its pretty on still days, I feel the postman might enjoy it.0 -

Is it definitely a case of planning permission needed, not permitted development?
Building a whole new house? Definitely not PD.
Interactive guide to PD is here, and guide to extensions and additions here.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).

On second thoughts, I think you meant PN's porch might be PD, not your new house.
To qualify as PD a porch must be:
1) less than 3 sq m in ground area
2) less than 3m high from ground level
3) more than 2m from all boundaries with highways.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? And we live on the edge of a forest. They blow leaves off the front lawn to the verge opposite. The verge opposite is mostly oak trees, which drop leaves that blow across the road onto front gardens.
Am I drawing a picture of people who now need to live in a manicured environment.0 -
