    Mrs blackbird died overnight.

OH is not in so much pain so that is good too. My part of teh deal is that i will not do any work, but potter about and enjoy myself.

Sounds like a deal you should be keeping, Spirit.

Sorry to hear about Mrs. Blackbird. At least you tried to help her.

Pleased to hear that Mr. Spirit is feeling better. Hope his trip goes well and that he is safely back home before you know it.

On this evening's local news they were telling us about a new train link to a nearby airport. The reporter was very pleased to tell us the price of a day return ticket. I thought that was a little odd as surely the vast majority of journeys involving a flight involve at least an overnight stay.

No nor me, but as my brother does the decorating, my dad the building and my b-i-l the electrics, I am quite happy with that result.

Neither of the workmen that I've managed to get across the threshold here have tried to hit on me either.

Workman would have had to turn up first...

Maybe he's already hit on one today ... so didn't need to come to see you. :)

Perhaps he's assuming everybody has a private plane there, so they'll want a day ticket to take the plane up for a flight to Paris for lunch or something.

If you had a private plane, surely you'd also get your driver to take you to and from the airport?

I guess it will help people who work there, but most likely it was just on the piece of paper given to the reporter by the train company. Sounded really odd though!

You do not need your own plane for a day trip. OH is flying easyjet.

LIR . This is not good news for your followers.

Your cleaning has already [STRIKE]guilt trippe[/STRIKE[STRIKE]]d[/STRIKE] me into cleaning out the chest of drawers I have been threatening to do for a year.

I promise you, when you eventually come here you'll have no idea i cleaned at all. Today I BLEACHED the walls of the garden room, ( where the ceiling came down. Nothing I would normally use ( home made vinegar mix, washing up liquid than flash) was really doing the job fast enough for my liking . But couldn't do the skirting boards, too tired, and the socket ( just the one) and switches are grim, grim. Combined with concrete floor the environment is of dereliction, not ' owner of this house bleached the walls today' :D

Tonight big dog will lean against the walls and by Friday there will be a huge grease mark, though she's being stripped on Thursday.
