Another little BT update. Received the standard email giving me two pieces of information:
- changeover date will be in a week's time. No good!
- new phone number. Different to the one I've been telling everybody.... but there's also other writing in the email that says "don't give it out as it might change".
So emailed the person who phoned me, from Gav's Gaff .... to see if that's a standard email, or if I can ignore that because I'm actually higher up the list and it'll happen by magic today/tomorrow without warning.0 -
If you were MY car key you would be in the panic room deep freeze, obviously. ( get home, feed dogs, get food out for next day.....collapse)0

Pink whistley loves this roll of coir. She scratches it and rolls it around the place in a sort of 'strong cat 2014' style. As well as just sitting on it.
She did move it there from the middle of the blanket box before sitting on it.0 -

Why do you have a panic room deep freeze? Shouldn't a panic room be kept clear for panicking in?
How on earth did you find the key?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I call our freezer the panic room. Its so big that RP fir and I, plus kiwi and the cats could get in. ( maybe we'd leave RP out and take dog dog in). I mean, it would be a squash, but we could do it.
I thought......what had to be done when we got in. I could only think about sitting, feet up and resting, but of course, really, dogs were fed.. I'd checked the sofa lots of times before thinking of the freezer.

My father just to
D me being in the deep freezer might well have deprogrammed the key.
I guess I'll try it tomorrow and see. Cannot use RP's instead because RP is away for four days this week ( with car).
Right, must get the semifreddo in the freezer. Should have got in in last week, and would be more useful to have iced puddings in freezers than car keys.0 -

Oh well done LiR! :j I've lost track of the number of times I've lost my house keys... On one occasion they'd been left in the inner front door overnight! Fortunately I'd remembered to lock the outer door, but still not a clever thing to do. Porch is just a short wall, then all glass, and outer front door is glass, so keys visible all night.
And then last week or thereabouts (night of the World Cup final) I managed to lock myself out of the house. Went for a quick ciggie in the porch, turned to come back in, no key. Panic!!!   OH had gone to pub in town for open mike night, so had no idea when he'd be back, and no idea what time it was anyway! Fortunately there was a rug out there, so I wrapped up in that to stay warm. Hmm, that sounds weird now - I'd be throwing all the windows and front door open to stay cool today! :rotfl: I think I sat there around 3 hours till he came home. Think I should start wearing a chatelaine with all my accoutrements on it! :rotfl:
My car keys live in my camera case usually.0 -

Did you find your face brush, by the way, now you've found the keys?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

:mad::mad:
No.
This would mainly be because our bedroom is a bit of a pit still .:o. I've tinkered round the edges, and we pulled out spare mattress under our bed and checked and it wasn't under bed.
My skin is suffering now, as the antibiotics impact on it has worn off so I am really grumpy about it. I'm pulling bedroom apart at some point this week.0 -
I have set routines for my keys .... except I've just moved, so, as yet, haven't decided what the set routine here would be for the best. These things just develop in their own way. As a rough guide it's: are they in my bag or attached via the clip to the handle of it? Are they on the sun lounger? Are they beside the PC?
Once I've unpacked everything and everything has a home (need furniture to get to that point) .... then the keys will also have their routine.0
