Not quite sure how my edit didn't appear in the original post then.
MSE is appearing to do strange things tonight, perhaps I should stop posting until tomorrow in case I break it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone, and to LiR especially - I agree, I'm absolutely marvelous in every way, and very modest too:D
A courgette is just a baby marrow. They both come from the same plant. One is harvested when young, one is mature.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

With your joints and you having 3 strapping lads I can't help.thinking there is a better solution...
Only two during uni time.....
What can I say, I'm a pefectionist when it comes to hoovering, they just don't do it right or they block it up! In other words, I hog the hoover and refuse to let anyone else have it as they may break my little precious item of cleaning stuff/toy:rotfl:
I even talk to it........We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

That job, though, seems like a poisoned chalice. I'd advise anyone to avoid like mad, there is non-stop trouble on its way, I reckon. No-one's going to be happy.
I'm looking forward to them finding this establishment figure with no establishment connections, should be interesting.
It's also very, very clear that only women are being considered for this job.
I agree, in that the impartial observer needs to think the chairman is disinterested.
But I reckon finding someone accepted universally as impartial is going to be fun!
I was listening to Radio 5 and they had wheeled out one of those single issues nut jobs to go on about this and he kept going on about getting the enquiry run by someone 'outside the Establishment, someone who doesn't rely on the Establishment to provide their income'. Hmm, so nobody who has a legal background then. Sounds like chaos would ensue.
I can't see any way for this to be run in any kind of normal way. I think people want a witch hunt and won't be happy until they have one.0 -

Butter normally comes in half pound packets so it's 200 packs of butter!
Well done tt8, good effort. What diet are you on?0 -
Well done tt8, good effort. What diet are you on?
At the moment I'm on the 5:2 diet, but I've done several different diets and, in my opinion, they pretty much all work as well or as badly as any other (providing they are healthy, i.e. not some mad water fast thing). The difference between one or another diet is whether you can stick with it which depends mostly on the individual...“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

To put your achievements into context, the most successful weight loss treatment for the obese sanctioned for use by the FDA has an average weight loss over a year of 3KG/6.6lb. You have lost more than 15x that:T
It really is very impressive. Well done (not so) big fella. :j0 -
I love a home grown courgette me. Thin slices done with a spud peeler and covered in olive oil, lemon juice and salt for an hour or two before eating. That gets a nom every time. It's so, so good with brand new courgettes.

Well done Tom!
Having once lost 76lbs with Weightwatchers, I know what an achievement that is....mind you, they had to ban me from going in the end as once I reached goal weight, I became rather obsessive about the scales, points etc and it was becoming unhealthy.
I have never had a healthy relationship with food, going from one extreme to another pretty much from puberty which has completely mucked up my metabolism. At age 12/13, I was living on water only with the occasional piece of fruit and still ballet training 5 hours a day....pesky friends blabbed to the teachers and all hell let loose, I lost control of my life and went the other way, gorging on stuff instead.
The gorging didn't matter so much as I was still doing high intensity training everyday, so just upped it a little more to cover the extra but when the dancing stopped (slipped disc/arthritis already hitting at age 16), the weight went on and in a panic one day at having to get size 14 jeans (oh how I wish for size 14 now), on a diet I went....and became what would be a size zero now and very underweight again.
And so it has been all my life, I can't maintain that well, I can only do one extreme or the other and only in a very obsessive like manner. Luckily I have been able to stay the same dress size over the last 5 years but only because as my mobility has gone down, I have cut down my intake which is now down to one meal a day and no gorging. We made it!
