What would you, as a parent, do about sons like these?

I'd move out ..... rent a studio, look after myself - and visit them once a week until things improve.0

Of the two I actually have the most respect for the 33yr Old that isn't claiming Jobseekers, since hes not actually seeking out a job but preferring and actually able to sponge off the parents..
So the one that 'at least he is receiving benefits' is by far the laziest and work shy..
what would I do if my sons were like that - they wouldn't have ever got to be like that. They are only that way because the parents have tolerated that, so it would need something huge for them to even think of changing from that... That ought to be your motivation to get out and do more kingslayer so you don't fall (deeper) into that lifestyle!
Both of them are poncing off the taxpayer - even the non-claimer, I assume, needs to use the NHS and local services.
And, if he ever needs to claim a benefit, he will be entitled to a non means tested one as his NI isn't being paid. :wall:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

I'd bake them a big cake, chocolate probably, maybe with some strawberries, you know, to help toward their five a day. Then I'd throw them a big party - a proper party too, with blackjack and hookers.
There'd be fireworks displays, cocktails, decorations, hookers and they could sip Crystal out of the bottle.
It would be a wonderful affair.0 -
The best thing the mother could do would be to go on strike. So no cooking, cleaning or laundry for anybody not bringing anything into the household and not making an effort to improve their situation. No buying food for them, no paying their phone bill/car insurance etc. Perhaps the Sky and broadband subscriptions for the house could be cancelled as well.
She has brought this situation onto herself and is enabling it to continue through her inaction.0 -
Hey it was purely tongue in cheek...Both of them are poncing off the taxpayer - even the non-claimer, I assume, needs to use the NHS and local services.

My friend just sits playing video games; watching t.v. or browsing the internet everyday, but at least he is receiving benefits, whereas his eldest brother is very, very lazy. His eldest brother is 33 years old and refuses to claim jobseekers; he sits on his bum everyday and watches t.v. and doesn't help out at home at all.
I feel her frustration when i'm there, so i help out with garden work, housework and other such duties. She cooks me dinner every time I visit, so it's the least i can do. But the thing is, it frustrates and annoys me too, as I'm there and see how much their mum has to do everyday. She cleans, tends to the tennants and housework on a letted property she has, then comes home and cooks dinner (with no help) for the guys of the house, rinse and repeat. I feel really bad for her and I don't understand why the men of the house don't do more to help her out.
She refuses to kick them out, though, because they are her children and she understandably cares/loves them, but that's why she wants to see them do better for themselves.
What would you guys do if you had children like that?
So which one of these lazy boys is you 'kings layer?' :rotfl:
In answer to the question. Kick the lazy bas**rds out!Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

Why don't you take an interest in the mother then? Im sure she would drop these loser kids and shack up with you...
As she is a landlord with a tenanted house then she should get the sons working for her with the business interests...0 -

Sadly by acting like a personal unpaid slave to them she is merely condoning their behaviour. She certainly isn't providing any positive motivation for them to change their bevahiour. She should sit them down and say
"As from tomorrow I am not cooking for you. I am not washing or ironing your clothes and any Income I bring home is going to be spent on looking after MY needs and funding MY pension for my old age. So the rest of you can do what you like but you're going to have take take responsibility for your own lives."0
