Help I've got a PCN for pulling into an access road

Help I've got a PCN for pulling into a road to adjust my Sat Nav. I had dropped off my cousin at the car park at Robin Hood airport. I had left the car park and from that access road I pulled into a road which led to an office car park, in order to adjust my Sat Nav to return home. I avoided the double yellow lines but the PCN says it is a "no stopping" area with a clearway sign. I stopped for no more than two minutes to adjust the sat nav. I kept the engine running. I did not see the clearway signs. Has anyone else been caught out in this way. Should I appeal? Thanks.

Pepipoo is a better place for advice on this.0

Yes you should appeal. Take a look at the newbies thread on the parking forum (blue link at top of this forum)0

That's for receiving parking notices from PPCs. I think this is probably a council issued PCN so that thread wont be of help. As mentioned earlier go have a look on Pepipoo.Nodding_Donkey wrote: »Yes you should appeal. Take a look at the newbies thread on the parking forum (blue link at top of this forum)0 -

The OP needs to tell us just who issued the ticket. If its VCS, then he's on a private road and needs to carefully read the Newbies Sticky and other recent (last 6 months) Robin Hood/VCS threads to see how to get shot of this bumff.0 -
Sounds like a fair cop, tbh. You stopped where stopping was not permitted, for a trivial reason - certainly no emergency. "I didn't see the signs" is not a defence.0

Ignore the above - the poster doesn't know the subject-matter or the location. That's for receiving parking notices from PPCs. I think this is probably a council issued PCN so that thread wont be of help. As mentioned earlier go have a look on Pepipoo.
This is Robin Hood airport, so is either VCS or APCOA. Thus it IS a private, speculative invoice. No need for PPP.
OP - my signature shows how to get to the Parking sub-forum. Read the NEWBIES sticky thread in there, then create your own NEW thread if you still need advice. Search that forum also for Robin Hood - you'll find lots of threads about that location.0 -
VCS (a partner/subsidiary of Excel). I just searched the Parking sub-forum for Robin Hood and that's the name that comes up.0
