Thanks, I'll give it a go with my strawberries :)
I've ordered a straining thingy off 'tinterweb but it hasn't even been despatched yet, so I'll be buying some cheap muslin in Wilko and making a contraption of some kind instead :rotfl:

Is it wrong, I kept a lot of the muslin squares in those '£1' baby packs for exactly this? :o

Slightly off the subject of lemon curd and jam making etc ...

(I can see all the bloke Elite members have sloped off to the pub or the football :rotfl: )

OH has been getting a magazine called Britain at War (his obsession is WW2 military history) via a bit torrent (not even sure how legal this is) it sort of comes in as a PDF I think. So he has been reading this for some months and then all of a sudden its vanished.

So now he is thinking of getting a hard copy mag subscription - £43  - not Christmas for another 6 months

I've not been able to find a cheap magazine subscription deal and the only links I've found to other magazine download sites needed your credit card details - as if

Any suggestions pretty please (the normal distraction techniques are not working)

Sue, your mum sounds fab! :D
I cannot believe the price they charge for strawberries  Honestly they are so easy to grow! Even if you haven't got a garden, get yourself a couple of hanging baskets or window boxes and have a go at growing your own. They need next to no looking after, just leave them to it and enjoy the rewards.
Might be a nice little goal for next year? ;):)

I have a garden, which I love and have 4 strawberry plants in a tub. Garden is clay and doesn't drain, wet in winter and dries out solid in Summer.
Have had a couple of sumps put in which helps a little. So have to be careful what I plant.
Not many strawberries from 4 plants, but last week picked 10, took them to mum's and told her they were her Wimbledon strawberries and would cost £12, which she thought was funny :rotfl:once I explained that's how much they charge.

I wondered what to do with them, they are massive.

Wasn't sure wether to ebay a pile of them or to give them to eldest child for some sort of making and doing project ...

Rocky are on some multi 4 for £3 or similar I nearly got caught out myself.
Failed shops make me :( even more so when I've said something's good :(..

The Rocky's were good in the end as they didn't charge me for them at all and with the 30pish APG contribution I was paid to take them.

Also the Impulse worked out at 56p a can which is still good value in my eyes.

Very great shortage of Morrisons in Wales, mainly big cities/towns and along the coast

My mum used to use an upside down stool with nails hammered into the legs to hold the muslin up :) We used to have great fun as kids pushing the fruit through :D She's been using a jam maker recently that I got her last year as it limits the amount of each type made (although she does still has the stools, they make an appearance every Xmas to squeeze us all in around the tables :rotfl:)

Had my healthiest car journey ever. Handful of strawberries to finish a punnet before leaving. About ½ kg cherries by the time I had my first break. Nibbled my way through a punnet of strawberries before finishing off half a cucumber.

Sorry your daughter was trouted yesterday wendyak. I went to that one & had no problem using the vouchers. My only attempted trouting was going to the basket only with a small trolley. I was ready to tell her that if I could carry a basket I would, but then she saw how little was in it & she went back into her shell. Told the woman behind me to go & get a paper. She almost didn’t, probably partly because they were at the other end of the shop.

As everyone seems to be at Morries, thought I’d let you know that the new Ts mag is out. I can only see vouchers a couple of pages in:
40p off Lee Kum Kee products (valid to 2.9, plenty of time for them to go on offer hopefully)
50p off ‘Cookies Bakery’ creamy, brownie or crispy cookies (30.7)
50p off Almond Breeze Iced Coffee (31.8)
29p off any Shaken Udder milkshake incl 330ml bottle & 200ml kids triple (18.8)
100 points on Santa Maria range of grinders, grinder refills, unique blends, chilli & pepper (2.9)
    Scan to win comp

Off to look up the SM range. Hopefully this could be a good one at some point! All are technically 1 per transaction. Some of them are £1.99, others £3.99.

Snap - I assume you won’t have them at yours for a while, so will give you some when I (hopefully) see you. Actually I might see you at work tomorrow.

Edit, now caught up & see Arthien had posted earlier.
Plenty of mags in Cov X Point & Shrews.
