    Morning :D

    Valli - Good luck :)

In a really bad CBA mood today but at the same time I'm itching to get on with the decorating. Neither is a good idea, I have to get my accounts/tax return done today so I can put everything away before my delivery arrives tomorrow. :( I'm also really cold despite the thermostat saying its 21C in here :( WM is just about finished so I'm going to potter until I can deal with that then have a hot chocolate in the hope that'll help so I can finish this last bit of paid stuff.

    Personal:
Meal plan Tue: Spanish chicken,. Wed: sausage casserole, Thu: Pasta something, Fri : Salmon & couscous, Sat: Pizza, Sun: Roast
Laundry : throws, dark, light, towels
    DIY list

    Work
Make check list. - in progress

Tax return (as it follows on from work accounts)

Hi, can I join in? I'm going back to work tomorrow after 10 months maternity leave and the house is, well, less than spick and span.

Should have started yesterday but it was my little boys 5th birthday so housework took a back seat :rotfl:.

Off to make a start while the baby is sleeping.

just back from running about errands, took cans to Ts recycling point but it was out of order so bought them back, posted parcel that should have gone last week, paid rent into school, sorted martial arts club paperwork out just got one letter to post off. rang friend with broken leg, saw another friend on way back and had a chat with her. am now half way though waxing legs, i seem to have acquired the worlds hairiest knees. need to get the washing up done and have a quick tidy round. then got to email freecycle person to say i have more for them to collect. go to work feed Dh then go with mil to hospital for more tests.

Valli, everything crossed but im sure you dont need luck you are good enough to get the job on merit.

    hope all are well

    Hi everyone!

Hi Valli - *waves back at neighbour* lots of luck with your interview today :T

Thanks for the sympathy re my redundancy, I'm feeling fairly pragmatic about it. We've managed on just OH's wage before and this time the mortgage is paid off & both kids (I say kids, they are in their 20s!) are working. I'll miss the fab people I've been working with though. :(

    My list:
Musty Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    30 minutes to spare...
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. and check the underside.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
    Got an hour...
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round… lightshades need doing!
Sort your drawer of large cutlery things.. slotted spoons, spatulas.. clean out the drawer, flin the things you don't need/use and make it all neat and tidy!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week

    Extras
Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
Thoroughly clean a cupboard or the drawers!
Put WM's/DW's on a 'clean' cycle.. make sure those doorseals and filters are clear.. soda crystals and white vinegar get rid of unpleasant smells and germs
    30 minutes ironing!!!
Wipe the inside of the unit doors
Empty the pan cupboard!! Sort those oven trays, tighten handles on pans.

Tantalising Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter, making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
    Change any dead lightbulbs!
    Extras:
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    Clean a window or two.
Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves

Froddy might I suggest the only flying you should be doing is decluttering your tonsillitis? GWS mate.

Thanks YorkshireLass - I think people think I'm mad with so much time for the animals but the three furries do like a lot of interaction and by the time I've done everyone's food and water and played with the furries the time seems to have flown by!

I know exactly what you mean; the two I've got at present are very high maintenance, extremely demanding, and take two l-o-n-g walkies daily. They're lovely, though.:heartsmil
They brought their Fr0ntline with them, as it needed to be administered yesterday, so Mr LW and I did that last night. I think we've been forgiven!:rotfl:

lamewolf welcome back, don't apologise about the challenge, mine has gone rather t!ts up, lol. We are just glad you've had a nice trip! And come home to some doggies, hurrah!
Thanks; everything that remains on the lists that's for me to do (as opposed to Mr LW) seems to involve either steam, strong cleaning stuff, or needles. Not a good plan with Ellie-Belle and Loco Coco (as I call them) here.:D

The June Challenge is a real Challenge for me. I should be able to manage a few little extras but I'm really struggling with it. It's given me a focus on why I don't achieve as much as I hope to, and that's been wonderfully helpful. Bossy, do you think you'll be doing a July Challenge?
That's a good idea - actually, I could do with an extension to the end of July; I have a new-to-the-franchise dog coming for a trial stay 7th to 9th July, but from 10th to 24th I have old friends coming back - Jessie from 10th to 14th, and Bailey & Cassie from 15th to 24th, so I'd stand a chance of "Frogging" during that time.:o

Just going to brush the girls now.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Another day of not completing a list. However, shower room relatively sparkly, both guest room beds changed and WM going like the clappers, some stairs and passageways have been shown the business end of the dy$on, as have the sitting room and dining room.

Clutter is being rearranged and a cunning plan has been hatched to dispose of some of it.
    Better is good enough.
