LW I hope Mr LW got on okay at the Dr's and is in a bit more comfort. Make sure you take it easy tomorrow, you need to look after yourself too so you can be there for Mr LW.
I'll copy'n'paste the report I put on the Daily Thread:
As I feared, Dr C was a young whippetsnapper trainee Dr. However, Mr LW went in knowing himself what was wrong (severe constipation as a result of his hernia - something Dr P, who said to ignore it unless it got worse, had actually said might happen  (which I didn't know til yesterday). So, he told Dr C this, and said he'd like a "Open Referral" so that he can get the hernia dealt with via his works health plan. Now it gets interesting.... Dr C doesn't know how to do an Open Referral, only a standard NHS one. Mr LW showed him the paperwork from the health plan, which includes a lovely simple flow-chart of what has to happen, including the term "Open Referral".... Dr C: "Nope, dunno how to deal with that, I'll ring the Secretary." Secretary wasn't available, so they ended up with Mr LW getting the receptionist to photocopy the health plan paperwork, put his name on it, and Dr C will ask the Secretary to write the appropriate referral letter. Hopefully we'll get something in the post early next week; otherwise I've told Mr LW he must chase it up and make a nuisance of himself (something that doesn't come naturally to either of us).
Meanwhile, he's going to have some of my OTC senna tablets to keep him going, if you'll pardon the pun.Honey_Bear wrote: »Well done on the stuff out the door, Kaz. I rather like hearing about people who just get on with things, quietly and steadily. It gives me hope I'll be that organised one day, too.
Dogs have had their twice-daily macrame session (they have an amazing talent for tying their leads together in ever more intricate knots while on their walks).:o Breakfast has been consumed.:T This is worthy of report because they're fussy little [STRIKE]bugg[/STRIKE] darlings, and often need persuading to eat.
I have the weekly round-up of all the household accounts to do, plus the monthly backup of everything on the pc and the laptop. I also have Mr LW's holiday pics to scan (he still uses a camera that takes film) so I think most of today will be taken up with 'puter stuff.
I have gone over the kitchen floor with a dustpan and brush though, to pick up the dogs' detritus (they hate the vacuum, and I don't trust them enough yet to just plonk them in the garden like I would the Hairy Hooligans).
Onwards and upwards.....:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Bossy, I only replace when necessary. Told off DD this morning as her jumper was filthy- bronzer all down the front. Unfortunately, now it's been through the wash, it's not bronzer, it has faded down the front. Grr. Her blazer needs to be washed tonight as it is filthy.
Dusty- ouch! Lucky escape there though, it could have been nasty.
LW- hope Mr LW is ok now. I love the idea of a jedi hug!
Pigpen, those little pinks are adorable!
Welcome newbies.
Valli, congrats on new job.
Honeybear, good luck with the ebay sales.
Lovely degus Elsiepac.
Natty- hope you're feeling less drained today.
OK. Loads to do here. Need to schlep the hoover around and clean the entire house. I have the WM and TD running. Grass needs mincing but it's decided to rain.
My car is at the garage getting the clutch repaired.
Not a good weekend for our cars. Mine was hit last Friday (twice) and DH's was hit on Saturday. His is going to cost £410 to repair. I think I will actually look at replacing mine when we get back from holiday as the blasted thing is actually jinxed. I swear, I drive down the road and people just pull out into the side of me, I'm swerving left, right and centre. Plus it is getting hit repeatedly. I just can't bear it any longer.
Meh.

Morning everyone :hello:
I still can't get the bl**dy copy n paste to work, just keeps closing the document  and I cba to type it all out
I've cleaned the bathroom, flung some bottles, changed the towels, swept the floor and sorted the cat litter. Pets fed. DW has been on.
The girls carp has been picked up from the front room and clean throws and cushion covers replaced. Some paperwork sorted, still more to do. Defraged the laptop.
A friend was meant to be coming for coffee today (hence the quick tidying) but I haven't heard anything from him yet.
Mr. T is due to deliver between 1 & 2 and I need to take all DD1's food shopping over to where she & BF are dog sitting. I also need to put the WM on as DD1 has just informed me she needs me to bring her work clothes over as well
Now going to unload the DW . . .0 -
Afternoon all. Just a quick post as on my phone and it likes to change things.
sending hugs to all who need them.
Been a busy week this week as had a sports day every afternoon. Been working through clearing the sheds, didn't realise how much cardboard has been stored up there, dh has pulled it out and made a huge pile and covered it so we can sort everything else in there.
Also decided yesterday that I was fed up of spending hours in the kids rooms for it to look the same the next day so decided to sort our room now (it's become a store room) dh piled everything on to the bed (I was trying to bring it all downstairs) and then tried to move the bed..... We spent last night on a mattress on the floor after the frame snapped in half!
Dd1 is off today so we took her shopping, just warming up with a coffee and then will start on the piles of stuff that has come out of our room.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Afternoon all.
Haven't caught up on the thread properly so hugs, spoons & vibes to all. It's been one of those weeks here. I've spent most of it doing paid stuff. Back out again tonight, in the rain, to make 3 deliveries I think. Well they're all in a separate box so I'll find out later :rotfl: Made a delivery at school, and then went straight to Mr A as I needed to buy some new clothes. My jeans are nearly worn through and loads of my tshirts are getting holes inDD asked me to pick her up some jeans as she only has 2 pairs which still fit, and one of those is dubious. Problem is DD is in ladies sizes, so at £10-£14 for a pair for jeans and £7 for t-shirts I managed to spend a small fortune in there on the credit card
But we now both have 'presentable' clothing which fits.
I'm editing the list a lot for this week. Since Monday is basically the start of a new month I'm going to get stuck in and do everything properly next week, adding in some monthly jobs and see if I can get some sort of routine going before the summer holidays start. So if its gone its done or isn't getting done
