Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thanks to Dusty for last weeks thread

Still going with the new style this week, which works on how much time and motivation you have. The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

For whoever was asking if you can use white vinegar instead of fabric conditioner.. YES I can vouch for this as I use it all the time now. I don't use any fabric stuff in the washing at all, and I have noticed that everything is so much softer and doesn't smell synthetic anymore :D Oh and you don't get a chip shop smell as it disappears in the water...

Last full week of June? Hmm. Better do three full lists this week, then, because I'm on an epic fail for the June Challenge otherwise.

Thank you Dusty and Natty for the lists as always, and Bossy for the Challenge.
    Better is good enough.

Thank you Natty I'm in of sorts this week due to the amount of paid stuff I have to get done.

Bossy - Failing here with my challenge as I'm just too blooming hot to exercise in this warm weather! :o:rotfl:

Dreading Monday morning. DD got home at 10.45 due to bad traffic and has only just got into bed. She WILL be having an early night tomorrow as its exam week, and this is the third late night she's had in a row. :o However she has homework to print, school bags to get ready, PE kit to sort, packed lunch to make, smothering herself in suncream, and she's having to wash her hair every morning due to the after sun etc making it greasy/sticky. I'll do what I can tonight, which includes sitting up until midnight charging her phone as it was shouting low battery when she got home but I suspect she'll still end up running late.

    Personal:
Meal plan - need to sort out some new 'marinades' for chicken for this week to stop us getting bored of it.
Laundry : Sofa cover, throws, cleaning cloths
    DIY list
    Abs: MTWTFSS

    Work
    Additional order
Email Av0n for another wrong recharge
    Make check list.
Accounts -in progress, double checking stuff up to December :D
Tax return (as it follows on from work accounts)
Tax Credits (I know not strictly work, but it follows on from the tax return :p)
NI payment (Follows on from accounts etc so I remember!)

Musty Monday ~ Kitchen <<will have to wait until I've washed the cleaning cloths as I have none left :rotfl:
    15 minutes...

    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    Got an hour...
Dust checking for cobwebs on way round… lightshades need doing!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week

Clean the WM filters and drawer
    Extras
    • Thoroughly clean a cupboard or the drawers!
    • Put WM on a 'clean' cycle.. make sure those doorseals and filters are clear
    • 30 minutes ironing!!!
    • Wipe the inside of the unit doors
    • Empty the pan cupboard!! Sort those oven trays, tighten handles on pans.
Off to get stuff out for the morning & see what I can prepare in advance, and put this last wash load on the maiden to dry off over night.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
