    I think that's unlikely.
    <grin> GP,WM...

(Although, given we're talking about a Hyundai iDoze, there may have been an element of tongue in cheek anyway...)

Absolutely not. I was checking my right side for bikes, and glanced away from the road for a second. In that time the cars in front had stopped. Since we were travelling close together (due to traffic), we hit him even with me breaking hard and swerving.

Pleas don't admit to the insurance company that you weren't leaving an adequate gap between yourself and the car at front, especially as you weren't just crawling along, from the damage you were clearly going quite fast.

    What do you mean?

Whilst it may seem the norm nowadays to post every little drama on the web for others perusal, admitting fault and liability for a car accident, with location, photo's, registration no (not covered up properly), VIN, and insurance company details isn't the smartest thing to do.

Is RTI insurance the same as Gap Insurance? I've checked and I DO have a three year Gap insurance, so that's great.

I've always thought GAP insurance to be relevant for finance purchases - where the balance of the finance falls on a straight line basis whilst the car depreciates much quicker and on a diminishing basis. So GAP would indemnify you if a car is written off and the finance is greater than the finance outstanding - thus not leaving you with the finance company wanting the remaining money owed from you.

Although i've never heard of RTI insurance... so happy for somebody to clarify this..........?

Definitely out there. Somebody on another forum pulled out of a petrol station into the path of an oncoming car a little while back. His RTI actually gave him enough to upgrade his car and downgrade his finance slightly...
