No, no I can't - that's why I posted. And I've had a tyre replaced that looked better than that. Pity I don't have it still, otherwise I'd take a picture of it for you. Anyways. Byeee!0 -
Actually I've just realised something. The car went for a full service a month ago. The garage would have picked up any bad tread on the tyres then! So they're definitely okay.
..and if not I can probably sue the garage who did the service.
It's fine. The tread on the inside is visible in the picture.0 -
Yes there are grooves in the tyre, but where are the sipes? This is what the people who are suggesting are actually getting at, but without using the correct terminology.
The tyre looks dodgy in the photo, but it may well just be a bad photo.0 -
I would imagine there will be a nice fat claim for whiplash compensation at some point in the very near future, from the occupants of the car that was hit.0

But at the end of the day, its just two damaged cars. They were insured. Who cares about the cars. As long as the people inside them survived, the cars are not important, and can be replaced.0

Erk. I tend to check the car every few weeks, and I've never noticed the tread being worn on that wheel. I'm hoping it's just a bad picture? If, god forbid, the tread is worn down.. how would that affect things? The police did spend an hour checking over the car at the crash scene, and never mentioned anything.
Handy tip is to put a 20p piece into the groove, if you can see the edge of the inside border of the coin, it's too worn.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Yes, and I suspect they will be genuine claims. This doesn't look like a minor bump if airbags deployed so I think it'd be completely plausible that people was hurt0 -

I suspect the answer to that would be the victim - and op.
No one died - fantastic. But now both parties are going to be inconvenienced - and one party through no fault of their own. I suspect the answer to this is everybody0
