If YOU have a Bus Pass

Why do you say I'm being silly?
Obviously more Londoners than Scots will qualify for a London bus pass because Scots are not eligible, they don't live in London. Surely that is self evident.
Equally no London residents qualify for a Scottish bus pass, they don't live in Scotland.
I don't see what point you are trying to make.
If you are referring simply to the number issued, then with a larger population obviously a greater number will be issued in London, again I think that is self evident.
If you are referring to value for money then that is subjective. A Scots person can travel from one end of the country to another for free, as opposed to travel just within one city.
I don't know about the London pass but I suspect it is similar to the GMP pass which entitles me to free travel on GMP bussess, trains and trams AS WELL AS local busses all over the country, which is a little more extensive, geographically, than Scotland. (Certain time restrictions apply locally)The only thing that is constant is change.0 -

Sorry but we are talking about bus passes which are only available to people over a certain age. The qualifying population of both London and Scotland are nowhere near the figures you quote which are for total population. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -

No; according to the ONS the population of Greater London is 9.8 million which is 1.88 times that of Scotland, or 2 if you round it to a whole number, i.e.double.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Although I have a bus pass I very rarely use it. I have had the pass for 4 years now and have used it no more than 10 times. I like to walk as much as possible and cycle. However if not practical I use the car.
Bus passes are great to get out and about but exercise is important to.0 -

Do you have particular knowledge of the British system of bus passes or, indeed, bus transport?
We can't use bus passes on National Express: to travel long distances someone would have to use a series of local buses.
It wouldn't be easy and it would be time-consuming.
Btw: strange topic to interest someone in Alabama. :cool:Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

I now have a bus pass.
......been looking forward to it for ages, dreading it would be abolished or the age go up.
. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..
