Also when viewing a Cat D repaired car how do you check whether the airbags have deployed or not?

If deployed will there be a airbag warning light on dashboard? If theres no airbag warning light on dashboard that means airbag hasn't deployed or the airbag and sensors has been replaced properly?

But you have to crash it again to make sure they plugged it all back in correctly..:p

Firstly you make sure there's no black tape covering the warning light :rotfl:

You either take the risk or get someone that knows how to check a potential purchase.

Some vehicles are easy to bypass the lights. Others are harder and may have to have the whole airbag module replaced.

Do your homework and find out what lights should be on the dash and what shouldnt.

When you say easy to bypass, do you mean like removing the error light from the dashboard using a laptop or something?

I just want to know that if the airbags have been deployed then does the airbag impact sensors has to be replaced before replacing the airbags?

If it is a CAT D repaired car and the repair has been done properly then I should not see no air bag warning light on dashboard right?

If its not repaired properly then I should see the airbag warning light or can the car seller cheat by the erasing the air bag warning light by using a diagnostic tool reader or something?

Is there any way where the buyer can inspect the airbags or are they hard to get to?

If the airbag light comes on with the ignition, goes off and stays off. The system has done its own diagnostics check and is happy it's working. Go have a look and let us know.

Just because VOSA pass a car previously failed doesn't mean the original tester 'lied' or even that they was necessarily dishonest. Lots of things involve judgement calls, like how work bushes are or how thick corrosion on brake pipes are etc etc. Sometimes a borderline issue can go either way depending on who's looking at it.
