Later on in the installation process the imgburn installer wants to install 2 additional programs one was called "opti...." something optiserv or optireg and it was talking about managing something on the computer to maximise something.... on that page there was another "I have read the terms and conditions" tick box to be ticked, there was no tick box to say "I don't want this" so I left the "I have read the T&C" tickbox unticked and I clicked "NEXT" I assume therefore that this program and the other one that was offered in the same fashion were not installed.
So I have made my boot disk successfully. I'm going to order some RAM before I do anything else and I'm going on holiday to France for 2 weeks so it could take a while yet before I need any more help.
