So good morning lands how are you.
Today's a driech start and hoping (forecast) says it will get better this week.
Plan
Plant kale in green house to give it a good boost and a start - I have wee plants which were reduced and pot bound. 2 inches tall.
Sort greenhouse to plant kale in or put into larger pots. Thinking I'll put a bed in there the now with soil improved from some of the done pots like a wee raised bed.
Start to plan next years veggies and continue to clear the log pile that's currently on top of the soon to be new patch
Chop and move more logs
Let hens out for a scamp.
Banks
Post - unless I decide its a Non Driving Day in which case if I weigh my parcel and see if I have enough stamps the postie might take it. tomorrow
Walk dogs local
Tidy one room
Sort out fridge (leftover from yesterday)
Sort meal plan, as its already gone to pot I think I'll resume old 'vague' meal plan stylee ie something with chicken, something with eggs so shoddy its brilliant. I'm such a sloven.
Check cards
Pay council tax and write to them to tell them they got the final bill wrong. or vice versa
Work for two hours early
Collect eggs (5 yesterday) 3 today
Write a blog
Think about music magpie looking at dvds and a few leftover bits from kids wonder if they take wii games/guitars (?)
Declutter a bit more, its creeping in
Fold washing
Look into taking 'ootside' furniture in as the winds battered it a bit yesterday - looked and am in denial.
Fill up log baskets
Continue to wear fetching woolly hat indoors and two layers and move around alot to keep warm
NSD- we'll see, of course I could walk down to the post office in the next village but there's no pavements and 60mph roads, doesn't seem very clever.
CHOP APPLES, store the ones that look OK.
Sparkle.
Well such as it is, I almost completed my list yesterday so today I aim to complete this one, even if like last night I walk the dogs at 10pm

That sounds *very* windy if the garden furniture's moving about, Pippi!
Kale ... is it sort of perennial? That might be good for meAnd you've reminded me I haven't done the quinces yet - I did pick up the windfalls and put them next to the back door, but I don't think I'm going to manage them today. Might do. I can hope
Have a good one :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

That's going to make for some very happy chickens though?
My mother in law has presented me with a pot of curly kale as well, which I have no idea what to do with. Current best thought is to bung it in the cold frame over winter and see if it's still living in March, then plant it out?0 -
Pretty sure that Music Magpie will take Wii things. If not, and you have the attachments, try your local Gumtree or see if you can sell on Amazon.0

Its generally a two year thing but I've had one alive up north for about 4 years. More about Kale here. You'd love growing it KC its easy and fills that winter gap nicely.

Chickens did a little chicken dance. Or they really are forming an attack type of formation. Its the routine now, I go out at about 10/11pm and collect slugs (TRG makes euwwy noises) I have a jar with holes in lid (small holes) and feed the chooks in the am. Its minging but if I keep collecting the slugs, they should reduce. Or I need to breed a night time feeding luminous chicken who can light up the terrace and eat the slugs. I COULD make my fortune. (like sheldon and the luminous night light fish) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sounds about right with the kale, though maybe later for the planting out given your winds, maybe end april/may?Pretty sure that Music Magpie will take Wii things. If not, and you have the attachments, try your local Gumtree or see if you can sell on Amazon.
:A Thank you. I have a mountain of child related crap, erm I mean other folks related to me unwanted possessions.

Meal plan of extraordinary vagueness - EG THE SHODDIEST MEAL PLAN ON THE PLANET.
Something soupy -did this last night broth with gnocchi and carrots. Photo ala greying below.
Something with fish x 2
Something with chicken x 2
Something he treats too, if he's a mind to or something with eggs, that might focus him
Something mincey.
Meals all from stores and ingredients herewith, as the cupboards are super full, unless otherwise challenged, that's my plan.
Need to buy some fruit and a bit of veg whatever is on offer will do.
Maybe not today as today might be another NDD.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Whew! An epic list there Pippi. I think a positive focus is a fab idea. Focussing your energy on what you can do is genius. I might apply it here too.
Bleurgh!! to slug collecting! but I'm sure the chooks love them.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
List is well underway starnac
I do like a focus.
I've decided I can't change some stuff, so I shouldn't dwell on it. Ie jobs etc so I'm going to live in the moment and seize the doodahs.
Time for a cuppa half an hour of log chopping does my back in.
PS evil ice cave is now more like an oven. I do like a bit of diversity.
Oh and I put up the new washing pole with the screw in the ground fangled gigit. Cannae say I'm impressed thus far. And, the ground is hardly wet.
I'm researching gazebo's and arbours and alike as I'm thinking 'formal' veg patch in the chaos there will be clean lines and pretty veggies.
There will, I tell ya.
Just as productive and you get to plant things closer too to keep the cropping up. Its also the hope that raised beds will deter chooks and mutts.
I know fat chance but let me think pretty for now.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Its a world takeover - not-the-full-time job is meaning that you're going to become the next Overlord, aren't you? While I was researching cute cat sayings, somebody on etsy has got a brilliant science fiction one, of a reclining cat saying "personally, I fully support our new feline overlords" ... thats you! Overlord of mutts, chooks, slugs and shoddy meal plans. Yay2023: the year I get to buy a car0
