It does work! I've registered my work email address
£62-worth of shopping (HAH! It really is more expensive, and don't get me started on "sorry we can't brand match online" as I know full well my catfood is cheaper by £2 elsewhere. It does pad the order nicely, mind!) for £42 :money: Thanks Pippi!
That's us stocked for a full month for cat food and have another good stack of meat for the freezer - and a cheeky bottle of Bucks Fizz that might even make it to Christmas0 -
Huzzah to you indeed well done you! Might post on Small things thread think I misread and its valid til the 10th Oct.
It is a bit dearer isn't it, but the £20 off for the basics/essentials stuff we buy has helped. I was canny in my cupboards too.
Just done 40 clematis cuttings - bonnie clear star violet flower.
Other cuttings rooted nicely should be able to ebay or sell elsewhere them next week or so.
Dug up a mountain of crocosmia (orange) and large (red) lucifer over weekend. Might sort that out into lots too. Whilst the orange one is quite common, its a good time to replant it and the Lucifer (large red) is a bonnie beast, I'll pot that up for home first and see what's leftover for selling on.
Guess I could see if there's a wee car boot or something around soon...............
I also see Paypal is to become an independant company announced on the WSJ
Just got an email saying womble land money is on its way. End of quarter payments are always quicker.
Bucks fizz all round I'd say (but we can wait til chrimbo)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Thats a good deal for the new Sainsbug, Pippi - good for you. I had a great deal with four vouchers and free delivery in a month, but I'm choosing what I buy there much more carefully now - I think my online orders might be coming from Asda in future.
Sorry you've got spooked by a piece of work not turning up, I didn't realise that had happened - very scary. Because each of my clients pays me, each one is a much smaller proportion of my income, so it isn't as spookifying, makes life easier.
Can't give you any feedback on ebay dates, I'm afraid - but there's 20 free listings in any one month now, I think - and they can start at any price. I might be wrong tho
Hope its going well otherwise.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Pippi, in your cuttings, do you have anything that would suit the following? I'd much rather support you than anyone else
Have 2 large log sections from felled trees. They were rotten so both have a big hole in them. Sections are about 12" deep and 14" across, but the holes not so big, maybe 6" across and 8" deep. Have put them on the grass verge either side of our gates, which is in partial shade. Hoping for something that has year round interest (preferably colourful or silvery foliage to contrast with the grass it sits on), will handle the odd spraying with water from passing cars, but not need much watering in dry spells?
I'm thinking either succulents, or some kind of trailing perennial?0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,0050 -
Hi Pips,
karmacat is right in that eBay now give you 20 free listings every month. I also had an email last Friday offering me extra listings for a limited time. (Unfortunately, I have nothing to sell at the mo)
Good luck with the job hunting. I think it's so stressful especially when your days are so full as it is.

Hey there I don't usually use Mr S but its been interesting (its just arrived......:p) and they are such lovely folks who pop in.
Ebay thanks - I'll try and do 20 free this month and see how I go.
The work oop north was scheduled to be a paid week a month til late Dec, however, sadly due to an admin pressure it had to all be finalised when I was up - so no work now. Its OK in the grander scheme of things but its short term budget implications.
Something always turns up, and rather randomly as it happens I got a PPI refund yesterday out of the blue its c£600 :T:money::T
So that can potentially be used to cover a couple months lost income eh?
Life always chucks something at us eh?
Just gotta keep smiling.

Now I don't have anything like that I'm afraid (not yet anyway) but thank you for asking - a few ideas below.
However, something like ivy etc would obviously work. A variegated one would be nice.
Vinca major Variegata is both colourful, would give you that contrast, as tough as old boots and tolerates dry shade. Nice purple flowers too and you do get a plain version of it. I've it in patches by the wall out the front growing in dust (but nothing propagated).
Things like piggy back plant Tolmiea 'Taffs Gold' would also work really well for the contrast you're looking for. Its a matt forming perennial with a gorgeous contrast of foliage, flowers not up to much but its from the redwood forests of oregan so goes down to -15 and can tolerate severe drought.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
