No idea Mila, sorry - I've never managed to post a picture to this forum
I'm sure there are instructions in the forum rules themselves if you have a poke around though!
Pippi :hello: Thought of you this morning (well, I often think of you) as I used the last of the porridge and made some of your scones for Mr Cheery for breakfast :j Wish I'd given him the porridge and eaten the scones myself! :rotfl: but there are some left for later
Also been pottering about in the garden quite a lot - SO excited about having a new one (well, in about 15 years probably).
Hope all good your end :kisses3:0 -
Hey there lovelies.
Mila I'm sorry I can only post fb images across - I think if you use photobucket it has a facility there to give you the right code.
Cheery I think of you too - and scones how lovely and porridge too. I'm doing your microwave porridge most days. And the reduced jam/marmalade still lives on in the fridge, some of the Welsh running contingent enjoyed it too whilst here.
August has disappeared into September and I've still not cut the grass.
Whoops. Must get to that today. Also doing a major declutter of wardrobes and all sorts to get ready for some work in the house.
And, yes I'm still unpacking boxes from two years ago and more. At least I got two done yesterday and DH managed to get a huge bag for the charity shop too.
Slow and steady. Fly lady'd the kitchen and finally washed the windows too. Who knew these things took so little time. I've thought about that job far more than the time it took to do it.
Hope you're all good.

Meal plan
Roast cook today - reduced with veg and usual nonsense
Pizza bread pizzas 1/2 a pack of 45p baguettes and sauce in freezer from last time - we have lots of cheese.lovely visitors
Spag bog (made)
Cauli/brocolli cheese - abundant cheese the now
prawn stirfry with HM stock/sauce
fish and barely risotto
That should sort us for this week - no one here and no visitors planned.
Oh well until DS comes home anyway (late Sunday) when we ramp up the bread bin and make sure we've plenty cheese.
Invoice in for wombles and lots of work this week for them and also lots of work in the garden as I'm in F/t this week and the next couple.
Really must decide if I apply for the promotional job
Also been offered extra two days of another post if I dont'.
So we'll see.
Been doing some sums and need to fathom a work life balance.
You know cos I'm so good at it.
Happy Sunday folks. I'm off to bag up the charity stuff. And, mow the hay field that is a lawn.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pippi! :j :kisses3: lovely to see you lass
hooray to bread and cheese and charity shops and visitors (and not visitors)
what are your thoughts about job? Fancy it or just feel like you 'should'?
As for grass mowing - I reckon you should get a sheep0 -
Hey there its been a fun summer even if life kinda disappeared in uncut grass and unweeded borders.
Not sure re jobs - one means keeping this job and taking extra hours if I want to look after our volunteers (more money x 2 days on a better grade than I'm on and a contract AND a lunch hour).
Or the other is working with the HG as his deputy - f/t (no pay stated in job description) and LUNCH HOUR although its an 8am-5pm gig.
I tihnk I'll apply for all of them and see what happens.
I was really getting wound up in myself but then today I thought really this is win win. I've been offered the volunteer days (subject to stuff) so if I don't get the other job I guess I can think about doing that.
The more technical post is a bit more horticultural advancement for me, which is both good and bad as its tugging at the 'am I good enough' type of vibes. But, I guess if I apply and they find someone better, then well its probably cos its a better team fit, not down to lack of skills.
Annoying not knowing the salary ball park - and I have asked around and no one seems to have a scooby.
One Giant fat suitcase of his and my clothes (and case) heading to the charity shop. And a bag of bric a brac, which just isnt' my thing. Someone else will love it.
Chest of drawers/sofa and potentially a table/shelves heading to neice who's just bought a house.
Huzzah. I can almost see under the bed. A big bag of out of date no use papers have now left there too.
PS I am working on the older dog as a potential sheep he has both the coat and the girth for it. Must get him shorn.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Good to see ya Pips!:D:D:D
I'd like to do a list to rival yours, but tbh, I'm doing no more than our budgeting (counting chickens before they hatch and other nonsense) & some TV trash binge watching.
OH, on the other hand has turned into fl'ylady today! He's done us a cooked breakfast on the bbq, vacuumed/hoovered the carpets, washed the kitchen & bathroom floors, de-cobwebbed & de-spidered & scrubbed toilets - he's now playing mindless computer games, (which I shall overlook!) Guess he took me seriously when I put conditions on his idea of early retirement! By the end of the year I shall have a proper house-husband!:D:D:D (he's targeting year end for the escape from 9-5)
Pretty standard dinner mealplan for us as it's back to work this week...
Sun - roast something & trimmings
Mon - fish, poached eggs & spinach
Tues - pork chops & green veg - maybe potatoes, sweet, baby or otherwise
Wed - chicken & green veg (usually pak choi or choi sum)
Thurs - date night :rotfl: - it's always an adventure!
Fri - fish (chips are optional - some of us prefer salad!)
Sat - bottom of the fridge omlet
Sun - we repeat the whole thing again
(looking at that plan, it's no wonder that I eat like a veggie when not around OH!)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Oh a house husband how awesome would that be. Fingers crossed that works for you me dear.
meal plan looks lush too. I'm more of a veg-head when DH isn't looking, then again I was veggie for almost 12 years, and I love veg.
I've lost another lb as apposed to a £ - so nearing the half way mark for what I want to lose to fit into trousers properly.
I'm using myfitnesspal and fitbit app to monitor activity and eating habits. Just found their 'ingredient maker' function which makes adding up home cooking much easier.
Lunch today was crab salad and man you have to eat almost your own body weight in salad when there's not a cheeky roll in there too, so I lobbed in a HG potato. Just for kicks I know how to roll.
Our household problem is portions though........so I dug out my scales.
OH has lost 1.5 stone since we started (he didn't discover that on the kitchen scales I assure you). and I've lost around 1 stone give or take.
Also reading Michael Mosley's 8 week sugar free diet (and Pure White and Deadly (John Yudkin) and 'Fat Chance - the hidden truth about sugar obesity and disease' (Dr Robert Lustig).
Not that I'm obsessed or anything.its very interesting reading. We dont' tend to eat much in the way of processed food unless its a mega bargain (and hardly then) but we are bad at takeaways and eating out (which is lovely) but it needs balanced with better eating at home.
Giving up the vino I guess has had the biggest impact on my carb intake, but that was largely substituted with bread and AF beer so the pounds kept piling on.
Anyways its spag bog for tea - I'm not having pasta but will have courgettes from the monster glut in the garden. I count 17 on the garden table oh dear lord.
Updated CV today to apply for job (s)
Put in 37.5hrs timesheet at garden for last couple weeks.
Did some wombling this am early 1/2 hour might do some later.
Must walk/cycle been a lazy week or so barely got to 5k steps some days as wasn't well and not working. Today I'm at 13.5k so we'll see how much we can raise that tonight.
Tea needs putting on..........hope you're all good what you all having.

GO YOU! (and OH) with the weight loss! Just amazing what the two of you have lost!
We had a long session at the gym this evening followed by scrummy fish dinner!
Now have to have an ironing session to get ready for back to work tomorrow! Sigh - it has been so lovely living in comfy home cloths for the past week!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Ironing truly sucks RT - I did a meagre amount at the gym (largely knee stuff) and ended up with courgettes and prawn whilst he had spag bog (reduced portion).
Too dark for a proper walk so just noodled about the village. 17k steps isn't up to my usual but I'm building myself up.
Have a good un folks.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

8 hours in garden today.
Home watered garden tubs and walked the mutts.
Lunch was baked tattie and salad with mush omlette (one egg, very modest). OH popped in as his place are on strike. Which is a sign of the times I guess. Lots of redundancies with his place, he's ok for now, another reason to look for something more permanent and more hours.
Just put some HG beetroot on the boil for pickling and probably have a Baked tattie and cauli for tea - OH is out biking so bring on the veg.
Report writing for womble land tonight - its going to be a busy week.
Also need to start letter to cover for CV for job at work have updated CV with relevant 'I'm awesome at what you asked for' info.
Which of course, as they know me, they'll see right through.
Been a sunny warm dry day here - hope the world has been as pleasant for you all.
12.5k steps which for me is modest but I've been doing a lot of propagation at work and sitting in meetings drinking coffee.
Might try and up that a bit later. Only walked 38 miles last week which isn't great given my capacity for nosh.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
