Ha ha - ladies believe me when I say that ironing is loathsome!!!!!
This round was necessitated by some flat packing I did in vacuum bags back when we moved!
OH either has to do his shirts himself or fork out to have the nice lady at the laudrette do it for him! Most of my clothes are wash and hang to dry, including the suits! Honestly though, I'd live in jeans and t-shirts given the option!

  • Morning all - RT Totally agree. I've enough of a time rolling out of bed and into my scruffies never mind unwrinkling myself.

EH the courgette them might hit the post soon :) watch out. :)

Mila I'm so with you - as it was a funeral I also ironed my DH's stuff and even my hair. Well I'm nothing if diligent.

Horrible news from London last night - my thoughts are with the families and the poor people who died under attack. Families are ripped apart from violence.

    I'm back to work today.

    Lunch is made.
    Mutts to walk.
Gym later (shudder) but its necessary to avoid an operation.
Chooks fed and will feed again later

Indulged in some dumplings for the freezer from wee hometown city yesterday so we'll have some of those for tea and rejig the meal plan a bit.

message both kids later over tinternet. One is madly surfing/baking (hopeuflly not at the same time) the other is working as much as possible before uni starts again.

Off to find me porridge and my work bag. I've lost 7lbs according to my scales, porridge seems to be working. :D - another stone to go. Which is very MSE as means I don't need new trousers.

Move some money into the non-wine funds too, almost enough in there now for a wee holiday.

    Have a great day.

In true GP stylee - I'm going to list what I'm grateful for from yesterday.

Asking for support from my DH and receiving it without a flutter of his eyelids. And walking on beaches for hours listening to my nonsense.
Meeting up with extended family and cousins and celebrating the good things of a life taken far too quickly.
Having this life, and living it truly gratefully. Offering help where you can to others, through its benefits.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

  • Morning Pipster & Gang :D

Lovely to know that TRG gave you unstinting support. We all need it at times :D

Agree about the news from London. Appalling, but depressing that default is to report as assuming an act of terrorism. The innocent caught up again.

We all have much to be grateful for - our lists won't ever run dry :D

I'm on low carb and have lost 15 lbs since the first of the year, so maybe next year I'll come for dumplings. I can gain weight just smelling them!
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Wow Mila that is great progress with the weight loss! It has taken me 4 months to loose 5 lbs and that is with the gym three times a week and walking every morning before work!

Pips - you would be proud of the yellow sticker bargains we found! 4 peppers for 19p - 2 punters nectarines for 17p each - sandwich for OH for 75p and 4 posh mini pork pies for 75p - offset by fullprice but still cheap sandwich ham. Mind you I had to do battle with a batty old gran who had parked her buggy in front of the bargain section and was telling off a young guy who dared to say excuse me so that he could have a go at the reduced veg!

(Punnets not punters but the phone won't let me edit!)

Sounds like you're working hard RT -- and it was chinese dumplings. 54/calories a dumpling :p I've lost a bit and gone up a bit. I like my food just too much. I'm like mila cutting down on the heavy carbs (bread (sob), rice, pasta) and supplementing them with salad. I had a lettuce sandwich/wrap the other day - I kid you not. Lettuce in place of bread. Desperate times.

And those bargains, woo hoo well done. I've been known to do ballerina stretches for less. :)

Well done mila -- sound so dedicated. I've at least one more stone to go. maybe more. my issue is that my jaws aren't wired shut.

    :rotfl:

Weekend of no one and nothing to do.

    First in a while. Bliss.
