Oh I hope you don't mind me being presumptuous, Pippi, I've started collecting egg boxes for you :D
  • Giggling at all the above comments :)

More work booked in diary for next week too, jolly good. TRG also away in Londinium for work so us pesky slaves will have our feet up.

Coffee required - douses everyone in more pancakes, asks for the syrup. Visitors are away and the house is peaceful. Nice to see them, nice when they leave.

    :D

Yes, plants (Mooomin I know shocking huh), yes turnips Mara :)

Ladies are indeed splendid RT - 4-5 eggs each day so far. A bit of 'fluff' appearing which I'm hoping is the underfeathers (down?) get me with me chicken knowledge, is appearing in gusto style.

Boxes would indeed be marvelous dear Mooomin.

SO I need to meet a roofer at the flat which is 45 mins away in near shops so must make a plan. Just finished watering me pots.

Do some washing, air dry obviously
Get a bit of shopping (?) ponder this one as we've lots of food profit from the folks who've been staying must do a list (pronto) good to have a food profit :) but most of it is random carp we'd not normally eat although I'm very grateful, I promise. (The chooks, however, might get fatter.....)
Hoover (I've appointed the manchild that task)
De-fly the house (whassthatallabout?) bleurgh, will feed to chooks :) best recycling I think (vegetarians should avert their eyes from that task, lest we offend them by accident) :)
    Walk el mutts local like
Do more stuff in flat to help get it ready. Nearly thre.
Have some chill time with TRG we've hardly seen each other this week.
    Sort work diary
Plot adventure for Sunday and get ready for more visitors (Sun/Mon)
Continue to plot and scheme generally.

    :D

Off to sort out grub list and ramsack fridge.

    Fridge forage update.

We're in dire need of cheddar, ham and lunch fodder for the manchild next week. Bread consumption has escalated since his arrival.

Tatties are very scarce on the ground (we have 2) as are any fruit aside oranges and cherries.

Tea wise we've lots of fish, def enough of these for one tea each day
    Tuna
    Haddock
    Pollock
    Burgers
    One tub mince uncooked
    One tub spag bog cooked

    Lots bread/crumpets

    Movements for meals.
    Fri - home tea (BBQ?)
Sat - ? out doing flat might grab something out (?) or use up Spag bog
Sun - Wik's here so will make up something sun AM as am galavanting out and about in the big smoke but will tie in first as she does provide plenty when she arrives, she's probably got a plan (Gotta love being best chums with a chef :D)
Mon - TRG in london - we're all home alone with 2 extras - cunning plan required.
Tues - As above me and manchild home alone
Wed - As above - we might do pizzas as we both love em.
Thurs - business as usual - risotto and fish me thinks.

So a few spuds, some ham/cheese and sandwich stuff, bit fruit, bit sugar.

Have a £2 off if spend £20 voucher expiring tomorrow - not sure we'll need that much but we'll see what pans out and if we're 'near' we can always stock up on loo roll or someat to tip the messages over the crazy edge of a voucher recoup.

    :D

Living on the edge or what.

...sneaks back... (I'm actually at work, but it is Friday & the boss is leading by 'bad' example - shoes off, feet up on desk & eating a crunchie bar!)

:jYeah to excess food even if most of it are oddities!:j
It's amazing what can be scrounged up out of scraps!

Pips, you really must get that cheese situation sorted out ASAP!!! How can you not have cheddar in the house?!?;)

    Things come in threes right?
    1) 'Good'... A weird interview, not for the job he applied for (manager), but for an underling - as his 30 years of experience are not what they are looking for in a manager?!? Sounds really off to me!
    2) 'Gooder'... An honest offer for a 4 week contract - openly an underling but will pay the bills! (not sure he applied - think it was word of mouth!)
    3) 'Goodest'... OH's got paid a week in lieu + 5 unused holidays! :D (so only 25% of his salary to magic up this month! - still a challenge but at least it's not 75%!)

...and thank-you all again for your compassionate words yesterday... I'm pretty sure the 'good' karma rubbed off!
