I've got a bad case of brain drain! Trying to figure out how to come up with rent money as the OH's been laid off...SIGH!

I hope you come up with something, I'm not surprised your brain is draining, what a thing to happen. Hugest of hugs.

    Were they cutting back?

Hope you and yours are grand. If you fancy an adventure to the land of the rock or beaches over the summer gies a shout :)

That would truly be lovely but don't want to impose...

    Hi Pips,

    Little_sweetie sorry about the franglais-scots - I
do speak scots in my head it seems - glad you translated OK cos that RT lady has a wee grannie who helps here to get the words
sorted (when her DH is on strike for cheese)

That's one of the things I love about you! Your thread is exciting and funny as well as multi-lingual :)

I'm so sorry RT about the lay off. It's happened to us many times in the past and is so stressful. I'm sure things will work out <<HUGS>>

Awww - thank you all for the sweet wishes & all the dodgy hugs!

It's so nice to 'get some love' from those who understand.:)

I'm sure something will turn up, he's hard at work applying so surely there is something out there! Four applications a day since last Thursday, but he's only heard back from one.

The small family run company unfortunately is struggling atm, with not a lot of business coming in, so the options were for 'someone' to volunteer for 12 weeks unpaid or for two people would get laid off.

My part in all of this it to manage the finances - sometimes easier said then done!
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)

New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)

Gosh rtandon - that's pants :( I hope your dear hubby gets something quick smart - fingers and everything else crossed for him. And a (((hug))) to you to get those homesteader brain cells a revving so that the rent money gets found and you've one less thing to worry about :( Although it's not an easy task you have - we can at least understand and sympathise with your predicament on that one :(

Waves to Pips and the gang too :hello:
