What to do when the OH picks up some red stickered red currants? He knows I love fruit but did not realize they were soooooo sour!

Well we dug round in the freezer in the cheese drawer and made this! OMG it was soooooooooooo good, that we finished the whole thing! Thank goodness the recipe says it serves two as I'm feeling very piggyish! Oh - and we used a mix of crackers instead of baguette!

    Oh hello!

Sorry I missed you all over the weekend! A very sleepy start here today (shh we've visitors).

RT that sounds well delish!!!! Little sweetie thank you it was indeed on the day the America's (or some of them) got independance! Thanks for the cake and the cornish pasty.

Cheery I hope you found some clothes.........I've a conference call today and never dialled in before so we'll see how that goes.

Greying hey up - its been a fun weekend but man I'm tired! Lots of cooking which was great. Lots of chums and lots of grub to scoff. Much fun. 'Pooter probs sorted?

Starnac we're getting regular eggs so hopefully all's well with the ladies. They're beginning to be a bit more friendly and scoff the wee tit-bits we pop in so hopefully they're settling in.

I'm up and oot in a mo with the manchild off to his work as TRG is having a wee lie in.

Cuppa, banks, etc we all know the drill. Bit of a spendy weekend so need to see where we're at with the pennies.

    :D

Yeah :D - unfortunately my bank acc is £100 lighter too :(

Was thinking of you yesterday, went to a natty trust property and they had chucks. Pretty sure several were rescue hens again :D Glad that the ladies are settling in, and providing you with eggs.

Have a great day Stripes :D

    OOOh ouch Greying.

Nice to see NattyTrust being so kind to chooks.

5 eggs today - clever girls.

    :D

    Have a great day yourself.

Today a bit of work, a bit of 'hadventuring' and a bit of visit later from some of OH's rellies.

    Suns out - all good.

Hit Ald* this am for fruit and seized some super sixes.

    :D

    Spent £8 on fruit/cocoa
Spent £9.98 on two fruit bushes (gooseberry and blackberry) quite good plants and great value at 4.99 each I thought.
