Wages still hostage in a bank somewhere.

    Hey ho.

OH paid £80 for something he owed me - so put that to the card.

Looks like I might have a small amount of tax to pay this year unless I make a pension contribution so might look into that.

I'm not adverse to paying tax but its so feeble and if I can pop it into a pension and reduce my liability whilst starting up some momentum on that I might well do.

We're not talking massive amounts its only a few hundred pounds.

But go me for having the accounts up to date so I know that.

Uh-oh. EH and I best pull our fingers out then ;)

Pension contribution sounds like a plan. Not for avaoiding tax (that's just a bonus :D) Personally I feel that it won't be long before the state pension is scrapped altogether the way things are going. :(

It's going to be a race when HMRC open this year's returns, isn't it! :rotfl:

I got a mini little rebate when I switched from Self employed to PAYE - bit of a surprise, and I can't help but get the feeling they'll want it back when I stick in the 2015/16 return, but we'll see!

How's the snowdrops Stripes? :D Yay to nearly holibobs time! :T

Thanks for the leeks info! I'm looking at recipes in anticipation of this working out.:D

This morning my windshield was replaced after a rock, on the road, flew up and cracked it from a car driving the opposite direction. Best thing is that they came to my house and replaced it, but worst thing is I had to pay my insurance deductible of $250. Boo!

A lovely London lady sent me her Misers e-cookbook after she read one of my posts on a forum. Such a nice group of people (you too, of course) on this site. I'm enjoying myself!

Funny thing is, I had been saving my cardboard toilet (loo) paper rolls. No idea why...but I was.
So now, I can use them for my leeks. :)

That's great that TRG doubled his investment in the flat. And yes you took the deposit for his house from it but what else was the money for but to set you both up in wedded bliss ;) I hope that the sale money can ease finances somewhat, whatever it's earmarked for.

EH yes I'd be wary of them wanting that money back too. I have to admit I'm a month behind in my accounts at the moment. I need to get up to date so I can pull all the figures from the summary sheet ready for the form.

My grand daughter and her cousin both got Easter chicks. Jude's (cousin) chick will be staying with Sequoia's at my daughter's house. That is where the chicken coop that my daughter built is, so Jude gets chicken visitation rights. They have now named them... Wobble and Wiggle.
