That desk is amazing!! I love it. :heart2:
I'm just catching up so I agree with the statement "just because I'm awake doesn't mean I have to be working" I struggle with this too.

I tend not to either. If I find myself sitting down, my mind makes a list of all the things I should be doing instead

I'm planting leeks for the first time and have about 15 starts. I'm also going to seed directly in my garden. I live in a hot dry climate and was thinking of planting them where they will get morning sun and some afternoon shade. Any tips for me as to what they like? We have composted really well in this new garden bed. Leeks are very expensive here (US) and I'm hoping I can manage to grow them. My husband loves to water, so that's not an issue. As onions do well here, I'm hoping leeks will also.
Love your blog!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Love your blog!
They like almost exactly what your onions like so I think early sun late shade is good and plenty feed rich soil. They're hungey monkeys.
I dib them in with a brush handle quite deep and if you want white stems you can use tubes/build them up to increase the green flesh which is probably a good idea if its very sunny/dry with you.
Recycled plastic tubes are good but I think toilet roll holders make the perfect size they decompose and they also keep the leek white. Kitchen roll tubes are ace too. But a wrapped up newspaper into a tube (like a kids pretend telescope) does just the same thing.
Goodluck.
And Starnac you're right - mid-late april all good.
