  • Where has this week gone. Largely under a duvet between working. Brr and Yawn.

Why is the first week back to tiring!

So petrol spends 22, shopping 16 need more bits today.

    Vague meal plan in head

    lamb - yorkshires - leftovers
    spag bog reduced mince 1.89
    fish reduced to 50p
cauli cheese and tatties reduced to 29p
chicken piri breasts (reduced to 40p)

Need some staples like rice/pasta/dug fud milk nothing too major more 'engine room stuff'.

Major achievement of the week was turning a bit of leftover salmon (reduced of course) and a jar of salsa into a rather fine pasta sauce with the addition of some HM stock.

Worked 20 hours this week timesheet in

Need write DEC INVOICE for wombles.

PO reciept for this month to be put into expenses sheet too.

Hens still laying remarkably. Although we are now down to only 3 slowly but surely they've reduced but have had a fine life inbetween.

I really hope you're all good and have a lovely weekend planned.

    Off to see the banks.

Skyped kids last night home on Tues, might see them at the weekend.

Happy New Year Pips & Stripey Gang!

Pips - am loving your ta-da list & meal plan - Nothing like a good list to set the world at rights!

Have just done an easy plan for this week as it seems overtime is in the cards this week & a quick evening meal is needed every day!

Not much else interesting this weekend - just laundry, tidying & packed lunches! Trying to reduce lunchy spends this month & form a habit that's also good for the waistline! I hear it takes 21 days to form a habit so that's 5 down & 16 to go!
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)

Psst...I may have started a diary!
  • Goodluck cheery!!!!!!

Neither of us spend (normally) at lunch but it does take a bit of getting use to. I take a stash of fruit/dried and tinned stuff to my work. He takes packed leftovers cereal bar and can juice sometimes fruit sometimes a hm treat. I tend to overcook and now portion a lunch or so before I plate up

I'm trying to learn...... Any tips very appreciated

    Xx

  • Another one here who doesn't generally spend on lunch - although I can't really take any credit for this as MrEH is in charge of lunches. :o

I've been quite good on portioning off "extra" from cooking recently too - stashed in the freezer in chinese takeaway containers they make a good friday lunch for me. Reduces the temptation to just eat what's been cooked if I think like that too. :o

Agree about first week back always being tiring - and I too have no idea why this is! LOVING your reduced price meal plan though - brilliant! :T

  • Morning chaps!

Hi lt has leftover chorizo and salmon pasta, cereal bar and diet juice.

I have bread and soup (surprise soup) I really must label things! Oranges and apples for me too.

Yesterday I go offered position of snowdrop overlord. Means more hours for a few months although an increase is pay was not mentioned.......lol

So I go upto 5 days for three months, then back to normal.

Don't tell the hounds they are already huffing but the extra dosh will help this holiday addiction I have developed.

Hope you're all good today? What's for lunch?

    See RT were with ya!!

A wrap with red pepper hummus (houmus? I never know how to spell that!), salad, carrot and sweetcorn and loads of fruit.

Unless temptation strikes and I go to Nandos. Time will tell :D

A roll with something or another in it - no idea what, that's not my department! :rotfl: Plus fruit. Quite a lot of fruit - I could start a shop here! :D

Snowdrop overlordiness sounds good - the extra days will indeed come in useful won't they - and yes if you will get addicted to holidays then needs must indeed! Poor hounds though - Hagar the Horrible will be threatening to come and live with me again! :rotfl:
