  • Morning all

Just about to go out and chop some wood its cold but gorgeous here.

Beanie I know right. And yup got on where the aeroplane yard use to be. Now its full of soldiers I think. Hope you're good.

RT and CHeery decs still in the attic but I'll get there this week, a bit of cheer is just what we all need. Second fakemas with aunty wik will be lovely I'm sure. Maybe we should have crackers with every roast dinner? What do you think RT. Or even just paper hats?

Not much to update today. Late tea last night.

Oh did finally write a bloglet.

EH and I were chatting of changes in focus. And, its funny if you actually do this MSE stuff how the direction of life slowly shifts.

I do feel guilty for having more disposable income (although I never see any of it) but I guess we slowly chip away at things without thinking.

Shouldn't feel guilty for being able to afford a few things now. Or start saving (one day!)

    Surely that's the point.

Far too deep for this early.

    Have a good un.

Sean Jnr has been going all titanic on me on the new wheelbarrow the kids got me for xmas. He's always up to some kind of nonsense.

    A purple wheelbarrow - AMAZING!

Fakemas #2 - well really Pips - of course you need to have crackers!

oops - just re-read your post - crackers with every roast dinner?!? - well there is a thought - roast on a Sunday means you could have 52 fakemases - don't forget to snap up the crackers in the after-manicday-sales - last year mr. jl was doing the posh ones for a song in mid-jan!

we have a bargain leg-of-baah coming in today's groceries - (please cover sean jr's ears) - will pop it in the freezer in preparation for 'christen the new oven' celebration - we've still not used it!

am currently looking out at the field of fat cuddly baahs & feeling a bit guiltly knowing we are going to eat a cousin!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm definitely up for paper hats at every meal :D :j :j :j What fun! :D :rotfl: :rotfl:

I agree with changes of focus - since I'm been hanging round here I've been much more aware... Also agree with feeling guilty about having some disposable income (although that doesn't stop me spending it often :o:o:o )

Grey here but since all I'm doing is driving for a million hours down the motorway (later, not while I'm typing! ) then I don't mind too much :D
  • Wouldnt' that be jolly. Or even woolly hats. :) RT thank you for the cracker tip - our nearest JL is over the broken bridge. Hopefullly they'll selotape it better soon.

Cheery hugs for driving a million hours. I hope you got there safe.

    RT poor Jnr is traumatised.

He's asking if a kind vegetarian can take him in for the holidays.

    Morning all

In the mean time I'm off to update my work spreadsheet and fathom what time off I'll take over the holidays unpaid.

  • Wages in and wages out.

    Kids paid into uni accounts
CC paid off balance of holiday
Payment into the 'shopping/petrol card' to cover and clear last month'

About 100 left in the bank. Should get paid this week from garden although I forgot to put my timesheet in on Friday so that's not going to be today.

Took an unread book off the shelf for secret santa.

Its new and the person should like it. I do not feel guilty. Its like I knew I needed to buy it last year or so :P

  • Ordered oil £182 for a half tank my god the price has plummetted.

used account for that and am still in credit.

  • Glad to hear that the oil price is behaving itself at the moment - I filled up MrEH's car with diesel this morning and struggled to get it to £40 - a far cry from not so long ago where mine topped £75 for a tankful! You going to be topping up again while the price is still low?

The aeroplane yard is now indeed full of soldiers, however there is a strong rumour that the aeroplanes may be making a return. No idea whether it might happen, or whether the plane-station a little further north will simply add a few more parking bays to take account... :D

Purple wheelbarrow = ACE! How on EARTH have you been through life this far without one?

Great shopping and freezer-diving too. :T

Morning Pips! Hope you are well and enjoying the lead up to the Cmas week! There has been way too much chocolate & biscuits in our office - mind you it is enjoyable!
    ...RT poor Jnr is traumatised...

Awwww - poor Sean - you can tell him we've redeemed ourselves by rescuing a poor sheepy in the field across the way who was limping badly on three legs - turned out she had a touch of hoof rot as the wet & soggy ground is causing the flock all kinds of problems - mighty pleased she did not have to be put down!
Ordered oil £182 for a half tank my god the price has plummetted.

Have to get OH on that one - we have about 1/3 tank left but if prices have fallen 1/2 tank added should save us a bit!
