  • hey starnac I'm just the same but its a start.

And yes, one with the 4th year uni student on his break in late Jan. A kind of 'not christmas' for me as they're going to dads so I'll get a week with him then. We're watching the cheap deals the now. Fingers crossed we can get something for <400 pp (all in)

And perhaps, if I can get a hold on these spends another cheap as chips one in mid/late april we got an apartment last time for £125 and the flights were peanuts and the lift passes reduced as it was last week of the season.

I still can't quite get my head round the fact that I like it.

Mind on, slipping between nice food to the next nice food isn't all that bad.

So that's my goal - both trips paid up front if possible if I can get a handle on this money leakage.

You got any nice family time planned?

  • Work done. Time to get sorted for the real world too.

Kids both got their money. I like to check they get it by sending them messages early.

Just to show I care and support them. Nothing to do with making sure they're up for the day at all.

    :D

    £50 to cc too.

  • So at work today I gave it my all. Did a bit of forward planning and wrote

THE BIGGEST to do list for November on my whiteboard. And I drew up the rota and put in my days.

Absolutely NO time to get rid of me. Far too much to do.

And if they DO get rid of me, heaven help the poor B*****d that has to work through my list.

    :D

    Sounds intriguing???

I just wanted to ask if you are following fly lady from the official website or from the old style board on these forums. Have you found it useful? We have decided to move back to the UK and if I need to shift a load of stuff before I pay hard cash to cart carp half way across the continent.
    Trying to keep in budget.

I'm following from the official site I get daily emails. I am finding it useful, I don't stick to it like glue but I'm finding that it works when I have a wee bit of time I can think RIGHT! and get on with something.

Its also if I'm honest making me less overwhelmed at the thought of actually starting anything. The other day I swept and mopped the floor almost by accident. I just thought - come on it will only take five minutes. And, it did.

Moving back sounds intreguing too. :T Hope you manage to declutter. Fly lady's decluttering works brilliantly for me.

    Good luck! :A

Love that you swept and mopped the floor by accident :rotfl: although I did too! I dropped a bowl which smashed and while I was sweeping up the broken bits I thought "I might as well do the rest of the floor" and actually did!

:rotfl: at your work list! Never underestimate the sneakiness :rotfl:

Pips darling - I'm utterly baffled that you could mop a floor by accident!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Working from home today - spent the time I'd normally be commuting on a super swift house tidy...
    kitchen counters cleared
    dishwasher filled & on
recyling & garbage out to the bins
birdy food put out in the feeder
    living room put straight
OH admonished :D for being untidy & they herded out the door to work
    dehumidifier emptied
load of laundry in the washing machine
    weird breakfast of leftover bits
    diaries caught up on

phew - now I can settle down & log into work!

Hope you are having a fabby day & that the rain has avoided your part of the world!
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)

Wow you've been busy and it's only just 9.10am. I may need to go back to bed to compensate for your eagerness :rotfl:
