Now heres a thing - cheery yours is probably more artistic! :)

So today was going spledindly until I realised that I wanted to bake some brownies for a bbq and wasn't giving up my butter to do that. When I make a list I wish I'd write things like that on them, had to go for cooking butter to the local coup.

Snagged a reduced FR chook, some sausages (also FR :D) and some bread 39p x 2 so the moral of the story is don't forget the baking butter when you do your proper shop.

    £5.23 though....... spends creeping up.

And £10 cash out, can't remember last time I took cash out, for the bbq which was a charity thing.

    :)

Free lunch at BBQ, nice walk and chat with some neighbours.

Nother one next weekend, so that's sunday lunch taken care of :D

Walked at beach and spied a remodeling of a flat with a skip full of wood surrounds etc. Might investigate that with the car tomorrow.

    :D all good.

Lunches done for tomorrow. And in the fridge he's got leftover noodles I've got leftover eggs.

Date night here in a bit. wish me luck :D

Pips not sure why I'm finding this so funny...

New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!
  • Ah well RT we've been together forevar but only married nearly two years now, eek.

As you all know I gave up wine last year - almost a year ago so date nights are also very sober affairs. :)

We went for a curry and a walk and very nice it was too. Thank you Beanie and RT :)

Cheery you're tidier than you think.

Fly lady went like this this morning, yup swish and swipe the bathroom, I'll do it later. But I do have a load out.

    Todays flylady mission is -

It is time to clear off the flat surfaces in the bathroom. This means the edge of the tub, the counter tops and the back of the toilets. We have a tendency to let things pile up on these areas and usually it is just clutter.

Today that other room is the laundry area. Take 15 minutes and straighten up the laundry area. Put away the stray hangers. Wipe down the washing machine and dryer. Toss out all those empty detergent and fabric softner bottles that you have meant to take care of. You know what you need to do, just set your timer for 15 minutes and get busy!

Ok so our bathroom has only three bottles on the bath, shampoo conditioner and shower wash.

So hurray I'm good. And its clutter free as we are stingy stinges and don't buy toiletries until we've licked out the bottles, I learnt the hard way with ten thousand to use up in Orkney before we left took me two years!!!

The utility room, even though its the smallest room in the house, appears to be a different matter I'll do that later.

    honest guv.

I was just reading that mission myself! We're not doing too bad as currently don't have many surfaces in the bathroom as we dismantled all the cupboards to strip the wallpaper :rotfl: BUt I do have a little fold out table, and Mr Cheery empties both of my holiday toiletries bags out on to it yesterday looking for the razor, so that could do with a bit of a sort...

Also, does the floor count as a surface?! Because there's a giant pile of clothes on it :o :rotfl:

    :D
  • Oh dear lord cheery I hope floors don't count. I'll have to deal with a years worth of new scientist.......:D

    Goodluck!

Home spent £9.43 in coup - Mondays are great for bargains.
    5 x loaves at 29p
    1 x chook breasts 2.29
3 x washing liquid for clothes at 59p
    3 x softner 29p
fruit and veg - 19p - 39p so loaded up a bit on things I don't grow and can be frozen. Although I doubt the pineapple will last the day :D

So its a bit of a spend but 90% of it is going in the freezer.

I think they do a lot of 'end of line' discounting I'm not brand loyal so I'm happy with that.

Off to check out my list.....
I realise these spends are daily and creeping up, need to keep an eye.

Got the bread for when DS is back and scoffing like a beast.
