Hey up RT - youch to the ills and ya to the leftovers.
I'll ponder the wee or whatever bit for larger......:) Happy haircut I cut mine today on the way to cut some flowers - kinda snipped the end of my ponytail, seems ok.....
SO I got oddly (i think) offered my pick of the hours at work today as they've guessed they can't manage without replacing the girl that left and just 'fill the gaps' as and when.
So I was caught kind of by surprise.
I do like it the idea of working there a bit more permanent but also I don't know if I want to work 5 days.
I'm wondering if I have the luxury of working 4 = 24 hours (ish) a week.
Or if I should try 5 = 30 hours and see how I settle in to it.
Which would make me full time with my other job.
Answers/thoughts/postcards as you please.
I'm apprehensive about leaving dogs 5 days but need to be realistic.
Although whilst i'm good at spending money, I'm not much of a one for it - I know I really need a pension but aside that, I'm not that fussed about huge amounts of dosh.
Not that I earn huge amounts anyway! LOL.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pips - if four days is doable financially it would make for a nice balanced life - you'd get plenty of time for house & home & family & SELF but still be bringing in some dosh! - XOX

I'd probably ponder 4 days too. Only because you've then got one day to play with. If there ever were extra hours you could always pick up the extra day if you wanted but you could leave it if you didn't feel like it IYSWIM? Obviously it depends financially how you could cope. Personally I'm a big believer in a pension. its my feeling that by the time I retire (I'm 33 now) there either won't be any state pension or I'll have to work til I'm 80 to get it  obviously that is my opinion and only that -an opinion!

Ha you lot are ace.
My healthy well being well balanced self says 4 days is best as I do have another job.
The scardy cat part says 5 days will make sure money is OK and mean I'm also more in charge as its not a 3 day/ 4 day split with another person the place is open 7 days a week.
Control freak, me, never.
I'm liking the shorter hours 10-4 as it means I have some 'life' either side of working.
Off to do some sums.
The big bonus about this job is that its 15 mins drive from the house, its stimulating, I'm informally teaching students and vols and its always different.
Hope you all have a great day.
I think 4 days might be best, leaves time for stuff.
Still trying fly lady - kitchen and big room with all the windows seems a bit less cluttered but not clean

Morning Pips!
I'm not sure I 'get' fly-lady - is the concept little & often? or deep cleans frequently? - not sure I'm of the house proud caliber either way - can you please explain how her concept works?
Big cheer for decent reduced bits! I've been shopping our storecupboard & freezer for all the odd little bits we picked up with red/yellow stickers - this morning was 25p bacon & cheapy eggs cooked on the bbq! along with ends of bread from the freezer
Our accomplishment for the past two weeks has been to eliminate the mid-week top up:money: (we had been making a habit of hoovering the bargains up even if we didn't really need them) - uht milk is now in the cupboard & enough (cheap) wine for himself bought and stored so that if/when a craving hits we don't visit the (not-so-local) supermerkato. Have also have started popping in to the little shops on the way from office to train if desperate for an item we've run out of - amazing incentive to get in and out of the store knowing that the train home only runs every 1/2 hour! - also incentive to only buy what is needed knowing that public transit can be 'cosy' at the best of times.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! RT brekkie sounds lush. And yup the midweek thing, I'm trying to temper the 'looking for reduces' with NSD's its hard!!
Got 19p bread, 500g tomatoes x 3, mushys, cheese (?!!!!) and a cauli.
Brilliant.
I know what you mean about hoovering up bargains even if not needed, I am mindful that others need but sometimes (like today faced with 10 packs of tomatoes I did take three but I think we'll 'canon ball them, frozen they'll cook up nicely). Its a tough one.
Fly lady is a bit 'little and often' and getting into routines, which I've never really done. It also seems to be a lot about 'decluttering' and like you say 15 minute blasts.
I'm a flybaby which seems to mean absorbing some of what's going on and doing wee bits rather than the full monty. And, I'm by no means tidy by nature or a clean house freak. But even DH has noticed there's less 'stuff.
EG - today I've gone through the house and taken 27 things to 'fling' or recycle and whilst it only took 5 mins all of a sudden there's less 'stuff'.
I think, if I'm honest its more about 'single handling' eg put the washing away instead of piling it up. And knowing where you clutter things up rather than deal with them.
I'm a butterfly so I'll probably not stick with it, but so far these little blasts have been easy, even for me.
I think the best thing is that it isn't overwhelming and its all about not getting it blasted and burning out.
I know I'm so guilty of that!!
Anyhows - I'm taking it slow and seeing if I can fathom how to keep a house a bit tidy!
I also finished the log store today I started with DS and filled it with the tonne bag of chopped wood I did a while back. Its rustic but ace and was free. All used up pallets and bits of wood we had.
Picked up half a car load of bits of wood from the ironmongers today. Its been there since thurs and no one took it. I'm mindful that if I take it too much, too often others dont' get a chance.
However, today the wood was untouched and there were four giant pallets too, I got one in the car I'll leave it a few days and if there's no takers I'll get what's left. I know the man wants it shifted. So its a bit of a balance about helping but not being too greedy.
Also means I need to crack at and get the next store built because I have a lot of wood around to chop and a full store. DOH!
I think maybe we'll need two (one filling, one emptying) or maybe three. Its nice to chop wood in the summer but not so much fun in the winter.
Tea was reduced lamb shanks, taters and veg from garden. First of the courgettes and tomatoes.
Enough lamb and gravey left over for his lunch and to fill some easy peasy cheapy HM yorkies tomorrow.
Lunches done.
3 eggs and a good day all round.
Walked on beach as well, first time this year with naked toes. Its been so cold!
Hope you're all good.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
