Got AA cover, long story ending with the new car playing up. Did that through martin and cashback site. So should have money tracked for that.
£60 towards that from my bank.
I just feel like these few weeks I've just leaked money. Must keep a keen keen eye.

Back of the fag packet life-money calculations.
Phone/BB £50 pm = 1200
Fuel - Logs and oil - spent this past year 810 (60 logs) round up to £1000
Car main + running = £150 pm petrol + ANNUAL (tax 30 + MOT/services/Insurance etc 750) = 2580
Kids uni contribution 100-400 PCM for 10 months. = 4000 ABSOLUTE MAX!!!!!
Holiday/Travel = 1200
Treats me (clothes/hair/stuff and frippery) = 1200
Insurance - ? must check that out I can't remember what I pay. Whoops
Pension - not started a private one yet. EEK.
Tax depends on earnings I guess. So ADD a 1/3 on top of final income needed.
Ponders other expenses.
This all assumes that everything else is covered in the house. Household and pets comes out of house money.
£11180 not the final total no tax/insurance/pension/etc
Known guaranteed money in womble job for year £5100
Deficit - min £6080 without the above taking into account.
Minimum month to earn on top of other job, which needs adjusting for deficits - and adding for tax and insurance etc - bare minimum £506
This isn't perfect by any stretch but its a start.
So that's 12k to earn to allow for tax/NI but not for the other bits as a minimum.
Trying to work out the whole self-employed/employed thing.
If I take the f/t job it also means a dog walker and some other adjustments at home, maybe.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

De-lurking again to ask if fairy god person could grant you the perfect mix of work to meet financial needs and personal/well being needs, do you know what that might be? if not attainable just now, might it be something to aim for as the youngsters reach financial independence and would that work on a sort of sliding scale, e.g. full time for a year or so? I worked full time pretty much all my working life, but in retrospect I think that once financial pressures eased I should have been much kinder to myself and worked less hours. (more time in the garden and walking my dogs:D:D:D)
I am confident that you will find a path that suits you, I just hope that it happens soon for you:A

Hey Maddiemay thank you.
Finding a balance is really what its about. I know my heart sings when I'm working with plants.
I had wondered about either juggling a f/t job for a while, or really working p/t and developing work at home too.
Once the kids are less dependent then I'll probably still worry!!
Eldest has one year left at uni.
Busy day today although weather has been so pants its hardly meant anything productive can be done.

I have been watching "the open" today, so feel fortunate that our forecast dry day (in Shropshire) has only had a couple of damp spells:D Wouldn't normally spend all day watching the TV, but cricked my back this morning and haven't even been able to get dressed:eek:. I had earmarked the day for dead heading and weed removal, so feeling bored and fed up now, hopefully by tomorrow I will be more mobile!
Upside- no monies spent and HM meal from freezer, so can do better than just toast:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
The weather here tis truely dire
I am near the Open too.
