Gardens looking grand. Got a veg square in today, tomatoes, onions, calendula, courgettes and basil. Here's hoping for a good summer...

Sending hugs your way to chase away the grumps!

A funny for you - just told OH all the lovely things you'd planted & his response was 'yes I know there are piccys on the book of face' - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - seems he's keeping track of your lovely garden exploits too!

:j to DS passing test. Clever boy. Boo to DD being the other side of world although thankfully with modern technology you can still see her face :D

Hmmmm! Lots to think about job wise for you by the sounds of it. Can you list all your options with a Pro/Con list for each? If that one place sent you an application form for a different job they must have liked you. But then who wouldn't???

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww - thanks Pips - that is so sweet of you to remember! - We had a glorious day in the sun (used a holiday day to take the day off!) - unpacked the garden furniture & oiled it - got the bbq up and running - had burgers for dinner chased down with a bit of cider & beer - spent the middle part of the day visiting OH's cousin & picking up a dvd player from the city!

...Listen to this today. Its quite good.

Had a listen to the start of it on the way back from work yesterday - some food for thought eh? - will listen to the rest on the way in on Monday!

Hope you are well and enjoying a catch up day!

(OH is currently snoozing in a chair after exhausting himself growling at daft call centre types who supposedly work for BT!)

They are amazing aren't they! I remember the first one we ever saw in an open garden in Dorset. We exclaimed our surprise to one of the volunteers (it is was a community garden), who was down right rude, and sneered that they had loads of them; they saw them all the time. Well when I got home, I looked it up and they were (at that time - 5yrs ago?) a relative newcomer in the UK, working up from the south in the UK. I'd certainly never seen one where we are. I've since seen one in our locale, so I think it is ACE that they are now happily at home in all the UK :D I still think that they are pretty special (saw one at The Lizard in Cornwall a couple of years ago)- don't care what the sneery woman thinks! :rotfl:

    Have a great Monday.

We sat dear greying mouths agog.

:) as to sneery volunteers, boo to them. I hope you're well.

I'm still chuffed, checked with a chum who's a moth lady and she said to report it as they're not that common up here.

Shines garden star badge for planting so many things it likes.

    :D

Work meeting today then I do have some thinking to do.

Have interview at the local authority end of the month too.

    Never a dull moment.

First mangetout eaten, salads all garden now. Tomatoes ripening, even outside, who'd have thought it.

    :)

    Happy Monday folks.

Had a posh dinner out for himself last night and his birthday over the weekend. Very nice it was too.

    :hello: Morning :)

    Oooh, an interview! :j :j :j Fingers crossed! :)

And very exciting mothiness! :j Greying - I reckon your snooty volunteer didn't know what she was looking at, and was really just saying 'yes, yes, we get LOADS of moths here' because she didn't want to seem ignorant :D

Happy Monday lovely PIppi (nearly said Tuesday then! :rotfl: ) Sunshiney down here, hope it is with you too :) I keep thinking of you - I have been SO neglectful of my garden lately (partly because the living room is so full, it's difficult to get out of the door! :rotfl: ) I bought courgettes in pots and then left them until they died, and my seedlings in the greenhouse all shrivelled up and died too :o:o:o SO very bad :o but my gooseberries look ACE (must pick them soon!) and my redcurrants are ripening, and I have some of that lovely green stuff that you had all round the sides of your old house (what on earth is it called?? :o :rotfl: ) - anyway, it's all growing pretty much out of the wall by the back door :j :j And the path has a big overhang of (I think) mock orange and honeysuckle which just smells divine every time I come into the house :j

So not all bad :D Just some :rotfl: xx
