    So the banks are OK.

This months (or is it next months?) 'hoosekeeping' has just hit the bank (£165)

I've paid £100 towards the move on the cc - £100/£460 as that bank wasn't as squeaky as previously thought.

Must fathom how to reduce OD and wonder if I can do that online?

So alls well in the lands of the wee mchoosey. DVD's are now on the shelves in the sitting room. Seems a 7ft long one was about right - one half shelf left to fill. I'm sure he'll fill that soon. :)

We does like a good movie of a dark winters night.

    Plan for today

    Work prob all day
Resubmit expenses as been told to claim mileage for library internet visits :D for work.
Attempt to skype with both my offspring.
A bit of cooking need to dream up (I mean produce :D) a meal plan for this week and the broccolli is looking a bit dodgy so I think tonight its for the chop/cook
The second half pint of milk has turned (will keep for scones as its fab for those) so I'm thinking we're not needing to buy milk atm. Its just not getting used even if we freeze half of it.
Really aside any magnificent bargains of fish/meat/cheese which happen to pop up - we need nowt this week.

Off to ponder the meal planner. And the fridge/freezer for inspiration

    Freezer
Lots and lots of reduced bread all yummy :)
    Fish x MSC tuna/halibut/cod/haddock
Shellfish -- one lobster carcass for stock, prawns
Meat - Sausages x 5 wrapped up double portions, Lambshank x 1, Mince x 2 large packs, ribs, chicken bones for stock.
Cheese - reduced cheddar and goats cheese
    Ice cream for himself
    Sorbet for himself
Mash :) you always need emergency left over mash
    Gravey leftovers x 2
Fish leftovers from meal out - I asked for it home so they boxed it up :) I have NO shame. :)
    Bacon

    Fridge
Lots and lots veg (love ALDI), two types cheese, salady bits and bobs, a healthy portion of lettover spag bog which has been frozen so needs scoffed (chilli?)

Stores - a fair store cupboard from two houses now in one :).

Garden - herbs and some lettuce - looking longingly at all other veg now planted and cheering them along - come on chaps!

    Ponders.

So here we go, DS arriving at some point for the summer, so will plan to scoff things that can be 'expanded' to three

    Mon - working - sausages/mash/gravey/brocolli
Tues - working, plumber comes to flat early, ma coming after, so something easy for when they've gone - chilli + rice (cook enough rice for another day)
Wed - working - fishcakes with left over mash/fish from being oot. :)
Thurs - working - veg curry with aubergine, rice and flat breads
Fri - working - mackerel risotto and halibut steaks
Sat - not sure what we're upto ? Mr TRG might want to try and BBQ again?
Sunday - plan ahead to have something cooked for Sun night as it seems to be an 'easy' tea night if we've been busy :)

Well that's a vague plan sorted, need to purchase - erm, nowt unless there's an amazing reduced bargain to lob in freezer.

Oh no, I'm not first - eek what a geek I am :D

Soooooooooooooooooo, I've looked at reducing my overdraft online - seems I can only do it if I call them. Although I can ask for an increase online. What's that all about?

I guess I'll either call into a local branch when oot and aboot or give them a shout.

I think decreasing by £50/month might help me to get shot of it.

I think others have done it like this.

    Any advice welcomed.

I never called to reduce it, just gradually kept further away from the limit :D Then when I was comfortably in the black for a few months I reduced the limit to about £200 in case of emergency.

When I worked for my bank of choice, the system had a recommended limit for you, as well as the limit you actually had, so if you had a limit of £1000 but the system only recommended £500 they couldn't physically reduce it by £50. It was £500 or nothing!

Not RBS is it? If so, it's the same system as NatWest - just put the amount in you want as your o/d limit, even if it's a decrease, and it processes through their system absolutely fine, though you get some odd messages when you finally cancel it altogether and it tells you it's checking your credit history to approve you for a £0 overdraft!

The bite is still painful, but arnica is doing a nice job on the bruising and Germolene is helping the skin in the middle grow back. I expect the scab will fall off again in the shower tonight sick.gif

I have done some guerilla gardening and taken a few fallen cowslip seed pods 15 metres up the hill from the machair into my bottom field. Fingers crossed for next year!

Hugs Cheery I hope you'll feel better soon. :)

Moomin thanks for that - I don't know if I'd be that disiplined, but will have a go.

Caz thanks the first one I want rid of is TSB...........eek to the bite wounds still and hooray for guerilla gardening.

    :D

Well we had something from the meal planner but not what we'd thought - it turned out to be leftovers turned into chilli with a couple sausages lobbed in for good measure, some old crusty bread, bit of garden leaves (go me eh? Well go Mr C-oop for their live salad which has netted a good 35 lettuce plants for the garden (£1 a pot) so that's bargainous now its all planted out.

Himself's lunch is done with the scraps (erm I mean delicious leftovers are now packed for OH's lunch tomorrow) :D

So today, I had a big meeting cancelled so I gave myself the day in the garden - mainly planting up more edibles/flowers. I was determined to get me peas in but its persisting down. Took the nice last of the evening at the beach (another new one) today here.

The garden thermometer said 26oC in the shade today. Seemingly taking the measurement in the shade is more accurate (?) but even still help ma boab, that's warm.

Got a few tubs/fishboxes planted up must stick them on the wellybookofface.

Today I also found homebargains and B&M got some wire trellis in the first of those, and had a wee shifty around the latter. Seem ok but as its all brands I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. Are these places actually any use? (aside garden trellis)

Q&B had a lot of reduced edibles in our store - might have them in your own?

I planted me cerinthe in fishboxes with sweetpeas, cobea, chives, strawbs and some lobelia a neighbour gave me. It will be right bonnie when its grown.

I also got a reduced bay tree, which looked OK.

Spends on plants is from garden budget :D

I excavated the old compost heap so we're OK for 'compost' for a while.

Need to plant chilli's and beans. Have 8 or 9 types of chillis

I do like a good chilli. Must tot up the edibles soon, so I know where we're at. I need to get a few more herbs but edible wise we might be OK now.

No roots or beets in yet, must rectify that soon.........................

And aside plant spends which have their own purse, a NSD if that's allowed to be claimed.
