There will be a big crash in May 2015 if the two Ed's (Red Ed and Thick Ed) get into Government.
I really hope this does not happen, they would make Gordon Brown's regime look competent.
I'd rather a Con-UKIP Coalition.0 -

Markets go up and markets go down - its the first law of investing. If you are investing for the long term (if you are not you shouldn't be investing), there will be several ups and several downs. Try not to get too excited when your portfolio goes up 20% in a few months - get ready to take advantage of bargains on offer when the markets turn down.(Red Ed and Thick Ed)0

And don't forget that the markets may never be as low as today again in your lifetime. They may "crash" at the end of 2015 and still be higher than today. Even if it's a bull market today, don't wait to invest; just add an extra olive of caution to your martini of investment.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
I think there will be a correction in 2014 OR 2015 OR 2016 OR 2017 OR 2018 OR 2019 OR 2020, and when it happens I will have been proved right!0

There is never a correction as such. Shares are always worth exactly what someone is willing to buy them for on any given day/hour//minute/second etc
So shares are correctly valued all the time.0 -

The term "correction" implies that prices are currently wrong. The word "crash" that they are way wrong.
People thought the FTSE 100 was due a correction when at 5000. They thought the world was about to end when at 4000. And don't get me started on when it was closer to 3000 ...
I've seen it all; I've seen gold bugs and market timers come and go, pundits shout what pundits shout, predictions fired around like shitgun pellets, and it's all just noise.
I've continued investing and rebalancing throughout and it's served me well.
OK, so I sometimes reduce in areas that seem toppy, and snatch up "bargains" in anything that's kicking up a stink, but that's just playfulness and a side dish to my main strategy.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

I like to think that was a deliberate selection of word0
