I remember people I knew saying there was going to be a crash back in 2002. "Any moment now" they were saying in 2005. In 2008 they all said "told you so".

So yes, we all know the next crash is coming, but really, nobody had a particularly good idea when!

'Correction' smacks of technical analysis to me, which many believe to be a load of smelly old pants.

    True story :p

It is coming shortly after I invest a lump sum. Not sure which one though.

There will be a crash (it's part of the market cycle), but my crystal ball is broken. Some will say that their crystal ball works, but that probably means that their head is broken.

    Waffles.

Waffles are the investment to protect against the crash. Buy buy buy.

Don't buy maple syrup - everyone should get out of maple syrup. I am absolutely not investing in maple syrup.

Unless you're at a rather kinky party the maple syrup is meant to be in you, not the other way round.

Ooh, that's a worry, I've just covered my girlfriend, Mable, in golden syrup. Does that count?

Smother her in pancakes and eat her quickly. I think you will be able to recover your losses.

Everyone knows that gold(en syrup) is crashing.

My vote goes for some correction when everyone back at work in the final quarter this year. If not that can I go for later 2015?
