    Martins on the pull ....

If Mr Ted isn't OP's neighbour, then I'm not quite sure just why he is being so personally abusive??

.......and in such an unpleasant way, and to not realise why his post was removed.

To be honest he probably has a valid view (although not one I would agree with and pun not intended) but he has concealed it well in a shouting, frothy rant.

    Yikes.

I keep two rows of trees trimmed solely so a neighbour in a cottage at right angles to me has a great view.

I did a trim of the hedges and trees just after I moved in and she rushed over in absolute delight to tell me how wonderful it was - she'd waited 15 years to see that view again.

Unfortunately I now have to keep it up, even though it's an effort, because I know it makes such a difference to her but it's a just few hours work a year that makes someone else very happy all year round.
Good neighbour award for you! :T
  • I know I shouldn't feed but 1st class was cheaper.

Maybe if you were happier in your own life you wouldnt feel the need to pick over all the little details of some random person online just to be critical of.

130 posts on this thread and O/p has made 29 of them!
I would have thought that the O/P would have exhausted what they wanted to get off their chest by now.

Still interesting study on human nature - My thanks to all the contributors!

That might be the case if OP were coming on for a rant.

I'm reading it as OP is after constructive suggestions as to what to do about the situation. In between other posts, there have indeed been some constructive suggestions. There may be some more to come yet...

As for OP coming across as a bit "crazy"...I have yet to understand why it seems to be currently fashionable to make comments about someones "sanity" in this politically correct age, especially when it isn't justified...

I'm still wondering personally why some people make comments in that vein...but there ya' go...such is life...

Suggestions are constructive when they offer a potential way forward, and there have indeed been some of those, but most, if not all, have been discounted as unrealistic at this stage.

This leaves us with intimations of illegal solutions made by several people, including your good self and the OP, though how much is bluster or Internet bravado is hard to judge.

Personally, I don't think suggesting ways to kill the tree is actually helpful or constructive, but perhaps my judgement is a little clouded by recent vandalism on trees I planted this spring, not because they were adversely affecting anyone, but because some people are just rather nasty.

If you align yourself with people like that, you deserve what you get.
