If your eyes are happy, that's all that matters.

    And that's entirely the point.

I thought the point was the picture quality, menu systems and length of service of this type of own brand TV was garbage?

This is not particularity cheap or cheerful.

For the same price you can get a reasonable known brand with 5 Year warranty.

i have the 32 inch led from aldi and there is nothing wrong with it. its got a load of features including being able to pause tv if you have a memory stick or usb hard drive. you can record tv too. 3 hdmi slots , digital sound output , full hd and vibrant colours! no trouble at all and well worth the money. admittedly the build quality isnt great but for the price its a good tv. im just not that bothered enough about a tv to spend a fortune on one. would rather use my money for more constructive and exciting things lol

Other than it's cheap, can be very unreliable and the after-sales service available is non-existent.

By the way, in what way can the TV possibly "record"? It is has no recording capability.

but with a 3 year warranty so does seem a fair price.

So it could look awful and sound awful, but as long as it lasts 3 years that's the main thing?!

LG and Samsung have a good reputation for TV's and at good prices too. Supermarket brands can be OK for second or third room occasional viewing, but they are definitely not recommended as a main TV. They can be made by anyone but are usually not very good.

Intrestingly I've got a cheapo Emotion branded tv in one of the bedrooms. It actually works very well and has a Samsung screen. The sound it relatively good too and much better than the much more expensive panny down stairs. It can also play usb media including mkv files.

Bit of a bargain I thought at £100 for the 19 inch version.

I also bought a similarly priced Toshiba for another bedroom - that one turned out to be rubbish and doesn't get watched much.

Oh yes it has. It records to usb memory stick. A little ignorance is a dangerous thing.
  • They arrived a week late to the store, so thought they had gone first day when visited on the 19th, went the following week to see them in and 9 in stock, so went next day after drawing cash from the bank, went back and all gone apparently, went to another store and same there until an assistant said they are out the back in the store and the gentleman found two in there, bought one for my son, to use as TV/PC monitor, opened the box took out the TV and where the TV was going to be placed the power lead wasn't long enough, it is about one metre in length, no good unless your plug is very close to TV location. useless to hang on the wall because of the power lead, could have used extension but it lifts that off the floor, simple thing like this has cost them a sale because I'm taking it back tomorrow which is a pity because can't fault the picture and sound quality or the easy set-up. What a shame :(
